I have been buying solo ads lately from safe-swaps.com and I was wondering one thing.

With solo ads:
100 clicks cost about $40. From those 100, I get ~40, 50 subsrcibers.

Knowing that these solo ad sellers and safe swappers sending their subscribers
left and right, from those 50 subs I see only 10 to 15 subscribers who become active
in reading my emails. Other 35 don't even bother reading my next emails.

What about Free WSO's? I've not tried Free WSO approach yet, but I assume you
can easily get 100 subscribers which will be way higher quality than from solo ads?

Can anyone who are doing free WSO's ellaborate on this? Would like to hear what
kind of numbers are actually possible to squeeze by posting Free WSO.

free wso`s do have there place and do work but your better off to sell something for $1 rather than free, at least then you know that everyone that pays $1 have the ability to pay and are not just freebie seekers

if some of your solo ads are not performing then it`s time to do more testing and find better ones

personally i would rather use solo ads than doing free wso`s and solo ads would be way more profitable for me too

The WSO's that work best are those that affiliates can promote. No affiliate is going to promote a free WSO for you so it's going to be very hard for you to get traffic to that free offer without continually bumping it.

WSO traffic is higher quality emails than emails from solo ads, people go into the wso section with the intent to buy and they stumble upon your offer which happens to be free, with solo ads, they intend on getting something for free.

Thanks. Yea, I thought the same thing.

I'm very interested to hear what kind of number of subscribers are possible to get from posting one Free WSO.

I know the numbers depend on what kind of WSO it is, however if I could get 100 quality subs for the same amount ($40) then I think it's way better invesment than solo ad..

No one can give you any type of meaningful figure or answer to that question. It depends on way too many things so any figure someone gives you is not going to be relevant to you or your offer anyway.

As with any type of advertising you will just need to suck it and see.

Agree- will depend on your offer.

My own experience doing a free wso with no partners:
10 to 40 double opt-ins, 0-3 OTO takers. I did the same wso 3 times (bumped) till it wasn't producing.

I'm afraid that the WSO section is very hard to compete in these days, unless you have partners to promote it. Which leaves the question of why send affiliate traffic to a WSO page? Isnt there potential to lose buyers to all the links? Has anyone done a split test on this recently?

Thanks David. This is exactly what I wanted to hear. Appreciate that.

I understand that the number will vary depending on the offer, was just interested to hear from those who already did it.
I guess I will take a shot and see what results come up.

            thanks again all.
            Raimundas.

Because the WSO forum has a built in social proof factor that no other salespage can compete with. One of the main reasons someone won't buy a product is because they don't trust the seller or the product itself. When they can come along and see real reviews from other people who have already purchased that product, it's going to make them a lot more likely to buy and thus why the conversion rates on the WSO forum are much higher than those on a regular salespage.

Ok, so I finally gave a shot yesterday by posting my Free WSO.
Here are my results for those that are interested:

              Link: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...heres-how.html

              In 24 hours I got:
              202 opt-ins (single optin)
              2 sales
              average cost: $0,16/opt-in

I guess that's pretty darn good comparing to solo ad results I posted above.

  • Rather than do a free WSO, consider releasing a great product priced in the $7 to $17 range and offer 100% commissions. Share your review copies with respected members before the launch in an effort to acquire those that may be interested in sharing the product with their list on the launch date.

You get a buyers list, they get the money... like a free WSO but with some kick.

Do both; you'll never know what worked better for YOU, until you have done both.

That's a great result Raimundas. Glad to see you put the WSO offer up to try it. What about doing a paid WSO now and comparing that? (Like one with 100% commission to folks to promote it for you).
