Hi James,
I would agree with that, when I am looking for solo ads, I also check the quality as well as quantity, if I buy solo ads, I check with the person selling them the have a quality list and ask them to prove it.
There are some good people out there with good lists, I would never use a company as you would just get ripped off.

Probably because higher prices tend to bring better offers and partners with a strong funnel and reputable followup practices. The lower prices attract lower quality partners that may not treat their list as well.

I agree James. There is no reason for that big of a spike in $$ for this. I was shocked when I saw Locksmith search terms going for 90$ when I used to pay 40$.

It seems like big keywords are now commanding big money. Even if you're a company or not it can still hurt the ROI for both the customers and the company if they're dealing with one.

Yeah i just want to point out that i love to see people succeed and i have nooooo problem with people making good money

i just mean that these solo ad sellers seem to be on a roll ever since i got flippin interested in solos i can remember a year ago they wasn`t popular like right now it seems that they are red hot at the moment and the sellers know it

I`ve been buying for a few months and honest to god every time i go to a sales page the price has gone up

The number of solo ads someone sends is limited (unless the IMer wants to get rid of his subscribers

). That's why every time when I receive too many orders I say to my customers "Slow down, take it easy!". How do I say it? By increasing the price

This is something which i have often thought about

The reason why some solo sellers increase there prices is because quite simply (they can)

If a solo seller is popular and gets plenty of orders then they can increase there prices and still do fine

Generally though, what I have found is that most of the solo ads that are more expensive than the average price often perform crap anyway

Most of the best performing solo ads which I have ever used are ones which cost around $35 - $50 per 100 - 150 clicks

I refuse to buy a solo ad these days that cost more than $60 for 100 clicks

I purchased 1 solo ad off of a popular solo seller for almost $70 for 125 clicks and the results were absolutely terrible

So the moral of the story is:

Don`t think that just because the solo ad is more expensive, it performs better, I have found dozens of times that this is not the case

There are hundreds of solo ads out there so you can afford to be picky with who you buy off of

100% Paul - I had EXACLTY the same experience just a few days ago. Paid a premium price - got dreadful results. When I brought it (politely) to the sellers attention, the reply was that his list didn't like my offer - funny, converts to clicks at up to 49% elsewhere!

Good advice - do your due diligence & take your time when purchasing solos - don't just jump in with both feet!

It's all supply and demand, so it just depends which side of the equation you're on.

People are complaining about the opposite thing whith info-products. They keep getting cheaper and cheaper for more and more content.

Seth Godin calls it "the race to the bottom".

As more people learn about solo ads, and more people become involved in actively looking for solo ads, suppliers are going to raise the prices for their solo ads, in order to capitalize on all the new-found demand.

As several others have said, simple supply and demand. If they
are getting more potential orders than they can fill, then it makes
sense to raise prices.

The latest fad for IM is "The money is in the list" This has produced a massive push to make people build a list. The quickest way to do this is by solo and ad swaps. A classic case of supply and demand.

But it is burning itself out. Solo ad sellers are selling their lists to each other. I often receive WSO's, JVzoo and clickbank offers from 3 or 4 different guys every day.

It's time to look for the next South Sea or Tulip Bubble

Yep, I've been noticing this too. A lot more solo ad sellers on the market, probably because of all these courses being released everyday. Hard to find a good seller these days too, so be careful with that.

Because more and more people are telling newbies to go out and buy solo leads, it's a demand thing. More demand = higher prices.

I think we are going to see a reduction in lead quality as well, since we are seeing so much demand and higher prices, so unscrupulous marketers will oversell their lists and the leads that are left are serial clickers.

Maybe this will force a few marketers to think outside the box when looking for quality leads. Solo ads have been on the decline for a while now. They are one of the least performing paid traffic methods out there. I haven't bothered with them myself for a couple of months now and I can't see that changing anytime soon.
