I have been noticing a very odd pattern on Craigslist and this question has been on my mind for a couple months now. So I need to get more information on this.

If my speculation is right, this could benefit a lot of Craigslist posters. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong. But I still need to know.

Many of the people who have been getting ghosted on CL, I'm noticing something that they ALL have in common. What is that you ask?

They all use firefox.

In fact, I'm yet to have one person who uses Internet Explorer, tell me that they've been ghosted on Craigslist.

I also know that I use a very old & expired version of IE myself, and have never been ghosted on CL before.

I'm begining to believe that people who use Firefox are 100xs more likely to get ghosted on CL. So PLEASE take the poll. I'm dying to some more #'s on this.

The city/cities you post to, what's the rough population?

The population?

Well for our state, its divied up on CL as North Jersey, Central Jersey, the Jersey Shore and South Jersey.

The total population for NJ I think is around 9 million.

I would have to guess (roughly) that the area I post in (central) has a large population. Probably around 1-2 million (maybe more).

I'm honestly not sure, but since our state is only divided into a few sections, and its overall population is the largest in US, I would have to guess the area I post in has easily over 1 million people who live there. Another fact to consider is that a lot of north and south jersey people check central jersey listings. And that 1 fact alone tends to scramble everything up. Then knowing what % of people actually use CL, and trying to factor that in.

I've never really gave it much thought.

All I can really say, "its a lot".

I think it doesn't matter what browser we use.... It we're ghosted it's because of our actions...
