Solo Ads on fiverr....Really?

You might be 'losing' your mind, but certainly not 'loosing' your mind (that sounds painful)

But yea, I forget who it was, there was a review of Fiverr solo ads on here awhile back. Basically, the verdict was...you get what you pay for. If you don't expect a lot from a $5 solo ad, you may be pleasantly surprised. If you're hoping for the same results from a tailored IM-list...it might be disappointing.

I just mentioned that that in the other post, I'm gonna repeat myself.

I really don't get all the Fiverr ratings. If you buy anything IN related on Fiverr, whether it's traffic,promotion, "solo ads" or anything else for that matter. Most likely, you're not gonna get any traffic or clicks at all, let alone sales or opt-ins. Yet, these people somehow get all that positive feedback and somehow keep their ratings 100%. Hmm..

One interesting thing that I noticed not too long ago. There was this guy that offered a banner promotion on one of his site that gets over 50 million visitors per day. He got over 1000 positive ratings and one negative. Person who left a negative feedback was saying that the site was phony and he didn't receive any traffic whatsoever. The funny part is when I refreshed the page 5 minutes later, that negative voice magically disappeared, and seller's rating was back to 100%..

So yeah, Fiverr is definitely shady.

Yes fiver is very shaddy, for instance search for "truth about abs" and you'll see several users selling this ebook + others for $5... And there is NO WAY of reporting a gig.. Now that's just what is easy to spot, but imagine all the tricks possible for people with this mindset and motivated with all their "friends" to game the system..

yeah those gigs are really tempting. I found a guy who was sending your solos to his 40,000 list. Guess what I got around 180 clicks and just 3 signups. Normally that page converts like 15-20% for me. Won't be doing it ever again.

While we're on the subject. Has anyone actually had any good experiences with any gigs at all? I'm talking about IM related gigs of course. I purchased about 5 of them in total. All of them were crap. Might as well flush the money down the toilet.

Imagine being on that guys list....getting 10 different offers a day...lol... his list of 40,000 will eventually end up being 4,000

yeah man..I mean c'mon....if your internal BS meter goes off when you see these $5 solo ads...then you know that it's got to be a scam....

...fivvr is good for header graphics...stuff like that...

..I've used them for backlinks...and having flyers passed out in different cities,...and the results were...well what you would expect for paying 5 buck....

If you are in any doubt then test and buy a few solo ads from fiverr and settle your own curiosity

For $20 you can be sure once and for all and see if they really are complete garbage or not

Honestly, there are really only two reasons a person would post a gig like this on fiverr. The first would be, as you said, that they are using bots and you will not really get any results. The second is that they are not getting enough buyers so, they put this out on fiverr and hit you with an upsell afterwards in the hopes of getting some loyal solo ad buyers.

In my opinion, I would spend the $5 and see what it yields. The worst that could happen is you just lost $5 and can add an honest comment to let others know that this is actually a scam.

Remember, these gigs are added by real people with different intentions; not all are created equal. I put a gig up for a couple weeks, over delivered and was underpaid, but made some good connections which landed me some decent jobs.

I bought a solo on Fiverr (it actually cost 2 gigs @ $5.00 each so it was $10.00)

"I will send to 40,000 targeted members order this x 2 for $5"

I got 163 "unique hits" and 1 signup from dawn@tigersoloadsplus.com (if that doesn't look dodgy - well then!)

So my one (useless) subscriber cost me $10.00!!!

The seller contacted me a couple of times trying to get me to remove my stinking review - no way am I doing that.

BTW - since my crap experience 33 more people have ordered from this joker.

Conclusion: inexperienced IM'rs are counting clicks only and not RESULTS of clicks.

Oh, I usually convert between 35% & 48% ie. 163 uniques = 57 - 78 subscribers!!!

You get what you pay for. No sane person would charge a few dollars
for a mailing to a good list of 1000s of subscribers.

I think,if the seller has over 30k-40k subscribers,why bother to chase only for 5 bucks?
The $5 it self blinds the noob.

fiverr has its uses I mean you can get some great voice overs for 5 bucks, lots of good video marketing gigs as well as some good seo gigs.

I've always been under the impression that the seller can offer refunds to any negative reviews. Most buyers would probably take their money back over leaving a review.

Fiverr is crap. Avoid it. I don't know really how its possible. but for some reasons I avoid Fiverr all the time.

keep your money Fiverr solo's dont work i tested them for some research i am doing and the results were almost zero. Better spending a bit more and getting decent results.

Fiverr is a community within itself!

So what I mean by this is that people could be helping each other out by leaving reviews at each others gigs to bump the scores up to the top ratings etc.

It would be great to find such a solo ad seller but I cannot see this being the case this time round.

Fiverr is great for some things but not for others.

You are already at the right place anyway to find reputable sellers at decent prices.

As for finding buyer lists well that is something you have to experiment with as you buy solo ads on a consistent basis.

You will always find buyers from almost every solo ad you purchase as long as your OTO is an outstanding one.

Have run a few secret shopper tests on "gigs" in Fiverr and, not surprisingly, it is rife with fraud.

There are sellers on the one hand offering unlimited bot traffic for the rest of your life and in their next gig seller "100% genuine human US traffic" (or wherever it's meant to have come from) also for $5.

Do people actually buy these gigs, and if so what's the mentality? That it's only $5 so does it matter if you lose it. But that's 100% of your budget you'll never see again!

This is the problem, with the whole IM thing at the moment, everybody is jumping on, in the belief that its an easy way to earn money! Nobody new wants to listen to fact, just the dream spinner guru's.

What this results in, is a tons of newbies, thinking when they search fiverr and find gigs such as the OP mentioned, they think they have found bargain of a lifetime!!!

............people with such little common sense, are going to get scammed time and time again in this industry, and it sucks!!!! it makes me angry to the point that these people deserve to lose their $5 time and time again. If someone has a responsive list of 40,000 subscribers, in the knowledge that hundreds will unsubscribe from every solo they send, are they really going to risk that for $5 ($4 after paying fiverr their bit)???

Seriously, anyone thinking thats a good deal without thinking logically is in for a rough ride in this industry and WILL lose alot of money, then give up and tell everyone IM is a scam!!............seen it time and time again!

What I sell on Fiverr isn't crap.

I have purchased a solo ad on there myself once and the results were not good. I also purchased 2 presenter videos - I supplied the script - and both of those guys did an outstanding job.

But I know too that a lot of crap is being sold on Fiverr, no doubt.

Fiverr is an excellent site for getting things done for $5-00. The gig provider actually only gets $4-00. Fiverr skims of $1-00 for their fees. I have used Fiverr several times and I will use them again. it is usually good value for money. But, a few times I have been ripped off by very poor service.

But, hey! you are talking about paying more than $5-00 to park your car here in the UK for this sort of money!

But would I expect a solo ad for the cost of parking my car? Come on guys get real. If it sounds too good to be true then it is too good to be true!

i do not suggest using fiverr for list building and solo ads, and it would be very bad experience if you select from some of these gigs.

But there are some useful gigs and you can simply outsource your work there.

I totally agree too you really have to be careful when you by some thing on fiverr. and 40000 people for five dollars is a joke.
but there also some gig for solo ad where they say that they can send 20 people for five dollar and that looks better.

But thank for all those information, I didn't know that people can ask for removing bad feedback.

fiverr, that company became very very shady, the only thing good about fiverr
is graphic design gigs, they're fantastic.

Bottom line....you get what you pay for and if it seems to good to be true, it almost always is.

I wouldn't even do a search for solos on Fiverr, let alone contemplate buying one from there.

I agree with you, the bare minimum for solo ad sevices usually start around $20 and Fiverr is not a good place to buy solo ads.

I have a really good seller on my clone that sells solo ads (and she has very good feedback).... her most popular package is at $20

If it is too good to be true, then you know you its fake, and the 50,000 list, every single one of them are bots.

anyone who provides a 50k solo ad for 5 dollars is most likely violating can-spam laws.

Yea fiverr traffic is pretty bad, though I did order this one gig about a month ago that is still giving me visitors to one of my squeeze pages and an occasional opt in.

But for sales.. nope.

For the sake of argument, even though there are legit sellers on fiverr, how many clicks they can afford to give for $5? And what about quality? Definitely worth to find someone else from FB group or something

I'm sure those Fiverr guys send exclusively to their freebie list, not buyers. Then again, many solo ad providers outside Fiverr do the same thing but they're still some good ones out there which is probably unlikely with Fiverr.

Maybe this will help you understand it. You have a fantastic list you built. I say hay Johnny send this aggressive email for me in a form of a solo ad and I"ll make you rich by making you profit a huge huge huge 4 dollars and you start jumping up and down of this amazing profit you are about to make 4 dollars! That's what fivver is you making 4 dollars isn't it great!

i havent tried but one of my friend did...i have always believed in SMO but he was adamant of going on Fiverr...result he was not satisfied with the result in spite of many good reviews of seller...

Who would have guessed that:

1) Buying something for $5 that should be thousands is going to get you terrible results.
2) The middleman allowing this to happen is also shady.

Fiverr is only good for certain things, Solo ads are the most Shady Marketing Technique. You are buying clicks to someone Else's highly recycled List who don't know you from ayota.
I even tried Udimi and that was a Joke, you are better off spending your money on an expensive bottle of wine, at least you will feel good for a bit...

In my opinion the best solo ads provider is udimi why? Udimi has integrated software that tracks all clicks and separates from fake or bot clicks that mean that I always get genuine clicks I pay for. I hope so this advice to use Udimi will gives you more leads and sales.

I have extensive experience with solo ads. I've probably ordered close to 500 (if not more) of them in the last two years. In my experience I can honestly say that I don't remember ever paying less than $30 for 100 clicks, and that's low end. Most legitimate solo ad sellers are charging anywhere from $40-$80 for 100 clicks these days.

I use Fiverr all of the time, but for things like ecovers, blog headers, logos, intro videos, etc. My theory lately has been to order from all sellers who have just posted their Gigs. The reason is because they are new sellers and they want their first good review so I have found they are willing to work harder to make me happy.

I stay away from sellers with lots of experience and ratings because those are the ones that usually try to rake you over the coals with all kinds of upsells after you order. I call it the Fiverr "bait & switch." Fiverr has gone way downhill over the past year or two, and many people have mentioned it. Scammers operate on there completely unchecked most of the time, and the sheer amount of people who are illegally selling software and other premium info products on there is absolutely astounding.

I can't relate the the gigs being stated here by the OP, however from a stand point of Fiverr in general...it is not all shady. There are some hard working people out there but as someone above stated, you have to work hard to find those people. I do graphic work and WordPress work "starting at $5". Of course with gig packages and extras, these $5 gigs become so much more. Maybe these solo ads are working that way once you actually find and contact the good ones.

But like MOST of the Fiverr community..."you get what you pay for".

Buying from any solo vendor is a mistake. There's no price for a solo ad, just common prices for people who sell proposed solo ads in suggestive marketplaces such as IM forums. Many people take money only to buy traffic from autosurf programs.

Those who know, know that it's a back scratching, sordid pool of social proof syndication.

Effective solos (which are simply emails with a sole CTA) are for people who have dedicated, trusted business relationships. It's an inside business process, not an exposed Liberty.

Shots in the dark are for untrained soldiers. The best, collaborate and share quality, viable prospects.

Solo ads 'vendors' of any sort will only fluff out your numbers, pollute established lists and inflate your autoresponder subscription costs.

OP, it's not about the quantity when buying solo ads.

People focus on clicks and amounts and forget about the quality.

Just because the reviews look good and the customer is satisfied with the numbers doesn't mean the quality of traffic is good and that it will convert well.

First I would agree that it's very very very very very unlikely that a good solo ad seller would sell on fiver. But that being said we can't just make a blank statement someone might have a fantastic list and never sold a solo ad and wants to test with little his to him/her so they are a scam? We can't make blank statements they are often not true! The truth will set us free and the truth is what matters not blank statements!

These guys might have figured out a scam. They offer, say, $0.10/week to each subscriber on their 40,000 long list, but the catch is the subscriber has to click on at least one offer per week to be paid. Some subscribers might run hundreds of email accounts and make $50/week. So the seller lies and says his 1,000 subscriber list is actually 40,000. His budget is $100/week, so he needs to sell 25 gigs/week to break even. Possible?

Fiverr is making things too much affordable for people. It's just so amazing.

I feel sorry for those people that buy solo ads from fiverr.

There are good solo ad providers who spellout what they do before
doing their service .. you need to search and find the gems from
the crowd : ask the seller about it and by the reply you get
you can decide.. if a seller says that he offers his solo ad for
sending to about 1700 subscribers and dont promise you the
number of clicks or mere 30 clicks and few optins for your
squeeze page or cpa offer then you MUST get that gig...
because its genuine ...
you need to find out the quality of the gig before ordering
by asking simple questions and if you get exaggerated and
hyped reply sure you need to take a u turn...

I used to buy traffic on Fiverr from a guy who claimed he got them by posting on Facebook Groups, I even saw activity and AdSense clicks, but it turns out he just sends traffic using Hitleap and generates ad clicks using Tor Browser.

I use Fiverr for a lor of things. I've gotten some great logos, blog headers, fan page headers, YT channel art, etc.

However, I would NEVER purchase a solo ad from Fiverr. I've been buying solo ads for a long time now, and the average click price I pay for a solo is anywhere from .50 - .60 per click.

Sure, maybe you can find clicks for .20 or less, but I can almost guarantee they are going to be bots or junk traffic such as from a safelist or traffic exchange.

I also avoid sites like Udimi when it comes to buying solo ads. I find there are a lot of sellers on there who have absolutely no idea how to provide good clicks, and for the most part, their lists are burned out and very tired. There are sellers on there selling 100 click solos for $25 and $30, and you have to wonder why they would sell their clicks that cheap.

I have somewhere in the range of 100-150 solid solo vendors that I do business with, and I can't remember the last time I paid less that $50 for 100 clicks. The logic behind it is simple. If a solo vendor is selling their clicks dirt cheap, it means that their list is most likely unresponsive and pretty burned out.

It makes absolutely no sense for a seller to sell clicks that cheap if they have a responsive list. Why would someone let clicks go that cheap if they could just as easily promote a product to their list and probably make 3-5 times what they are selling solo clicks for?

On the other hand, I have several sellers I use who charge $80 or more for 100 clicks, and I gladly pay it because I know that I am going to get the highest quality subscribers and most likely make sales.

Be very wary of any solo seller who is peddling clicks for any less than .50 per click. Again, who would sell their clicks that cheap unless that was the ONLY way they could monetize their list? If they have gotten to the point where the most money they can make from 100 clicks from their subscribers is $25 or $30 then you can pretty much guarantee that list is JUNK, for lack of a better word.

I wouldn't waste my time buying traffic from Fiverr,it's all junk/bot traffic. You're better off buying your traffic from a solo ad marketplace like Udimi. You can get 50 clicks for about $38.

There is indeed a lot of traffic gigs you need to avoid. That's why I started my gig offering real Solo ad Traffic. Not really to make sales, but more to make a point. Just to say: "Hey all, real traffic costs money".

I thought before to buy traffic from fiverr.com, but I read here in warrior forum before it's not worth it, because you won't get opt-ins and sales. You can't get quality targeted traffic for $5.

I bought that before many years ago -> totally waste of time & money

You can contact the Niche targeted Blog Owners and get Solo Ads from them for Low Price.

Also it will quality and you may get even Sales with their list.

Just try this.

Just search in google Keyword + Blog.

You can find some good blogs. Take the Blog URL and check Whois there you can get the blog owners Email. Contact and get the deal.

That's definitely so cheap $5...

But normally the average I usually see is a minimum of $33

Why would you buy solo ads anyway? LOL. Let alone $5 solo ads? Seriously waste of money unless you burn ALOT of money finding decent ones in which case you may as well learn how to buy your own traffic in a search engine.

Solo ads can be a minefield if you dont know what you are doing.

$5 for a mailout to 40,000 emails is very suspicious.

1. How did they build the list
2. Is the list "Buyers" or "Freebie Seekers"
3. How often have they been emailed already.

Very often, the hits come from bots and you dont get many of your own subscribers
or any sales at all.

I'm affraid I have to agree with you as I did invest money on Fiverr for solo ads but they had no real affect. I was dubious as I had never seen prices for solo ads that low but it's like everything else in life, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I guess you live and learn.
