Nanacast and Getresponse not working

Nanacast say you can integrate Getresponce with their system.

Well it turns out that yes all buyers will get passed onto Getresponce via their API BUT Getresponce now insists that all subscribers added via its api now have to be double opt in which is no good for building a buyer list!!!

Nanacast say there is nothing they can do about this???

Just wondered if anyone here has a solution to this???

There must be other people building buyer lists using Nanacast ??

    Sarah,

I have been in personal communication with the partners rep from Getresponse regarding your questions and they even provided you with this answer:

"If so this customer would need to contact our compliance team gr-compliance@cs.implix.com And make a request for each campaign that she uses with Nanacast to be switched to single optin import via API."
Here are additional details from the getresponse rep on WHY they have this policy:

Actually API via single optin have a higher risk than a list import.

We can control a list import and analyze it for risk of spam complaints.

With ongoing importing via API, the user can use their own server to import
in a purchase list, and the first sign of trouble we have are the complaints
as they kill the deliverability for that IP address.
    Additionally they told me this:

We plan on having way to allow pre approved partners to register their servers ip addresses to allow us to white list those ip addresses as single optin via api.
They are still working on this and it will likely be limited to subscribers who have completed a "purchase" transaction as those are less risk than straight import.

You are not going to get a better answer than the answers provided by the company that provides the integration (Nanacast) and the company that sets the double opt-in requirement and policies associated with the service you are using (Getresponse).

I do understand your desire to have single opt-in. As soon as they provide a way we will add it... but until then API based subscriptions are by the policy of Getresponse and the functionality of Getresponse forced to be double opt-in.

This is to protect the quality of service and deliverability rates for all Getresponse users.
