Kickstarter Advice

My company will be launching our kickstarter video soon and I wanted to reach out to the Warriors and those specifically who had had success on 1 THING they would suggest to keep marketing going strong during the campaign.

So Whats 1 thing you would do to keep marketing going strong during a campaign?

Please dont post links to the "top 9 things to know about KS" or "10 best kickstarter campaigns"...trust me I have read them all. Just interested in something random someone might have.

    I have done dozens of Kickstarters and have raised over 50k in money.

    Social media, social media, social media.

    Get that kickstarter blasted out with LIKES and everything else. You need to "fool" KS into thinking it is popular so it gets listed on the popular page.

    Are you already known by a bunch of people who may care about what your doing? Are you a member of groups that are in that niche that can spread the word? If not, your chances are very poor unless you have an awesome idea.

    KickStarter is so big it is all about getting on that first page (in popular).....once you nail that, you can sit back and watch the money roll in.

    You get on the first page by getting the likes (and tweets).....if you have to buy it, buy it

      Do you have any other advice if our twitter/facebook presence isnt that strong? its not nonexistent but probably not on KS radar...

    I tried one with indiegogo awhile back and it appears that all the work is done by you and your business. They did nothing so if you aren't marketing via fb twitter and all the social services including youtube, forums, google etc then no one will really know about you.

    After a few weeks of my campaign I was left with the feeling that if I had to do all this work myself I might as well setup my own donation/gift crowdfunding through wordpress and eliminate the middle men that would do nothing but take their cut.
