Ok, I need help from you warriors!

Right, Im realtively noobish to internet marketing, i posted one of my sites the other day and got decent comments....but this is where it turns on its head for me.

keyword reasech - check
create website - check
seo the site - check

so the site is ready, i can do all that no problem. its after the site is ready I have a problem, i read so much information but a lot seems different and im basically lost!

web 2.0 - i just outsourced that for two of my sites as it's so time consming, im gonna wait and see what results I get.

forum posts & blog comments (backlinks)- is this still worth the time? do i outsource it? if so to who?

articles - are these still worth doing? is it a case of quality ONLY now? i know it can be outsourced.

what else needs to be done? My sites that I have made get indexed and ranked page 1-3....not the most competitive keywords admittedly. From their I have issues whith information overload, what to do and not to do, and what to outsource and not to outsource.

I enjoy making my sites, its the stuff after I dislike, I have a decent amount of money in my bank from my full-time job anyway so paying for someone else to do it isnt a problem.

    Hey dude,

Congrats on getting things set up and taking action on the first few parts.

In regards to “what’s after”; it’s about driving traffic and building your PR.

The reason you are lost is because you are reading site after site. Why are you reading so many things ? Why don’t you pick one. Then do it, see the results, measure the success of it. If it didn’t work, move on and try something else; or go back a step and figure out WHY it hasn’t worked. Nothing in this business is going to be easy; you will always have roadblocks, and you need to have the ability to go back and analyse things.

So, stop reading, and just take action on some methods to drive traffic to your content.

Have you set up a product to sell? Or are u selling via adsense? Have you set up a capture for email addresses?

You outsourced Web 2.0? What do you mean by that?

Forum & blog posts; yes you can outsource it, but I would recommend doing it yourself as you will learn about your niche as you get more involved. This will help you become and expert, and in turn help you to deliver excellent content.

Articles? Depends on the niche. If you are in a super saturated niche, may not be as effective as if you were in a micro niche. From your post I guess you are doing a small niche, so yeah, go for it and use article marketing, test it to see how it works. Nobody is going to really be able to tell you if it will work. There are too many variables to answer that question; this is YOUR business, so YOU have to test techniques and methods, and see if they work. Ok?

Loads of things can be done, not necessarily needing to be done though. I would just stick to driving traffic to your content, capture email addresses and try sell a product. Those are the basics. Do those things and practice driving traffic to your site. Once you are doing that consistently, you will be able to measure results, analyse things and see what needs to change, and where.

Information overload is the number 2 reason to failure in this business. Stop reading, and start taking action instead. Write down your daily tasks that you must complete by the end of the day. Then tick them off as you go. < This sounds simple, but I can assure you has made thousands of people a lot of money; it forces you to be productive. This business is about productivity! Do not waste your time reading 19 different ways to drive traffic if you are only doing 1 at a time. Learn one, try one. Then move on.

What not to do = waste time
What to do = do something productive.

Well what is the “stuff after”; because you’re saying you don’t like that stuff, but to me seems like you don’t actually know what’s involved after? Don’t mean that in a bad way. I just mean that you are running a real business here. You can’t pick and choose what to do lol. Later on you can, but if you haven’t made any money and are just outsourcing, then how do you know a good job is even being done? If you can’t do it yourself/know it yourself?

You might think paying someone else isn’t a problem; but in the business world, you are currently making a loss. You can negate that by doing it yourself. I’m not saying outsourcing is wrong, I’m just saying you should really understand what you are getting outsourced, and the best way to do that, is do it first.

You said you have information overload, you don’t know what to do, and what not to do; so what then? Are you going to outsource every little thing you THINK should be outsourced? You will waste a shit load of money mate. You are better off trying all those methods yourself, then find out WHAT WORKS for your site. Once you know that, you can outsource that.

Think 80/20 rule mate. (If you’re unsure of what this means, I’d recommend reading it).

A lot of people try to build an online business but really lack a lot of business knowledge. It’s still a business dude, so get your business right, then the rest will follow.

    Hope that helped you.

    Hi Arran82,

Yeah articles are still a great way to spread your message around the web and get the exposure you desire.

I post my articles at my website first and wait for them get indexed.

Then I re-use that content to gain even more exposure and thus creating more milage from each article.

Thay can be re-purposed into videos, press releases, auto-responder material you can send to your list of subscribers etc.

It is what you do with them that counts.

Hope this helps and have a fantastic day my friend!!!

    ok thanks for the replies.

Just to clear things up, I do know how to do the 2.0 sites (Peter Garety videos helped me) but they take a lot of time up.

I know and do the forum/blog comments myself at the minute.

As for aticles I do the odd one or outsource it, (have done quite a few myself over the past 6 months).

Does anyone mind sharing their daily routine so I can compare it with my own? ive looked for a thread on this but cant see anything.

Arran, Joey gave you great advice there. I would re-read what he said. I certainly learned a lot.
