YOUTUBE TRAFFIC - MORE VIEWS

What's up Warriors!

Just wanted to share with you guys something I did recently that has managed to get me more views to my YouTube channel and more traffic to my squeeze page.

So... What tactic am I refering to in this post. Well I'm specifically talking about "Video Responses."

I've just started doing video marketing and I came across this guy's channel. His name is Jon McNeil and I really liked his video's on his channel.

Going through his video's I saw a video titled "How To Turn Clicks Into Cash." Again I really liked the video and I got the idea that I could expand on the advice he was offering. I thought to myself if I could show people what software I use in my business that could benefit someone else why not do it. Right?

So I created a video and titled it "Clicking For Cash - Video Response to Jon McNeil" (Ok, i went a little over board with the extras after the hyphen. However, It worked). I then went back to Jon's video and posted a comment telling him about the video response I made.

Here is what I said; "Hey Jon just wanted to "follow up" get it? Lol. Yes I've seen that video. I watch all your videos. Anyway I really liked this video so I did a response. Hope you like it, unfortunately I can post the link here it's over at my channel." I've never done a video response before so I even messed up here by not knowing how to do a video response properly. Anyway I posted it to his channel and he accepted it. So now when you scroll down the comments under his video you will see my video with my title and my thumbnail.

Now his channel has had over 100,000 views so far to date and he gets decent views to his videos. Everytime someone watches his video they will be exposed to my video. So I'm stealing some his traffic. I'm leveraging the traffic of his channel to my channel. This never cost me a penny to do. I already have a flip camera to record myself talking. I have Camtasia for Mac to edit the video and I have a YouTube Channel, which is free to post my video to. Also to add he recently did another video referencing what I did here. Check it out:

Main things to do:

1. Make sure you put your squeezepage link in the first line of your description box. This will allow quick access to your squeezepage for the viewer. Also it's above the fold.

2. Do not put your URL at the the bottom of the video. You can do it if you want to but it's better if you don't so that the channel owner will be more inclined to accept your video response. I generally do this on all my other videos but I didn't do it on this video response.

3. Make your title closely related to the video. This helps because if the people commenting on his video have got the time to respond with a comment then they would most likely have time to watch the related video.

4. Make sure that the channel owner responds to your comments so that you know that they are active on their channel. This is important because there is no point doing a video response to someone who doesn't take time out to reply to his/her video comments. Chances are they will not even check their inbox to see your video response.

5. Give the channel owner a shout out in your video. Tooting horns can convince the owner to accept your video response.

This same strategy can be used in other networks as well.

To your success

Manie

      I did both

The first 6 mins was me talking in front of the camera and then the other 10 minutes was screencast. Also I promoted one of the products I talk about in the video. It has had a few hops since it's a Clickbank product but no buys yet.

      Here is the video:

I know if I did this for someone that gets a lot of views I'd get more of a response and more clicks throughs.

This is an excellent way to promote videos and can be used in a couple of ways.

One is to do what Manie did and add a video reply to a specific person/channel.

It can also be used for a popular, trending video that either has, or is likely to go viral.

And it can help with Video SEO, if a particular video is getting a lot of searches by its title.

Also, Mannie's method can be used to break the ice with the major players in a niche, and his may be the best way to get traffic. JVs on Youtube are called "collabs" (collaborations) and doing them with successful Toobers is a great way to help both.

Use your tech/marketing skills to help a big player in their niche and they will help you.

Yes. Posting video responses has always been a reliable way to kickstart one's Youtube channel. It's much better than starting cold and/or going insane with the keywords.

      Excellent point you made here.

I actually was that guy at first. I wanted to get the correct keywords so I could rank my videos. Now it's all about going with the flow. Just ensure you do your off page SEO as well as your on page.

It certainly is. If you just went around posting video responses how much traction do you think you would get. I doubt anything significant. It's all about building rapport with the owner FIRST before posting.

Hey AnniePot, I'm from the hood in the UK, South London. To be more precise Brixton. But on another note, as you deduced I hadn't had a shave and my braids were really messy so I put a hat on to hide my hair, but no way to hide the beard; hence the thuggout demeanour.

            Thanks for your comments

I've actually just done another video. No hat and clean shave. You'll have to subscribe to my channel to see it tonight. Btw are you on YouTube? Would love to partner up with Warriors on there.

Thank you for this valuable information. I always wondered what was the best way to get a video response accepted, and these 5 steps definitely break it down into the items that need to be taken into consideration.

I am going to go take a few hours and try what you have suggested and I will let you know how it goes.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

Interesting sound with these video marketign techniques, I don't understand some of these, please forgive me.

@Manie, how do you make money with your videos?

1 you build a list? with them-and how many people does opt in each video?
    2. how much traffic brings to comment onother similiar big video groups?
    3. or do you direct link to your money site (affiliate)?

Well i've just started my YouTube channel and I've had 28 optins, with only 376 views on 6 videos. It's said that the conversion for clickers from your video to your squeezepage is roughly 10% on YouTube.

Originally Posted by marco005 View Post

Can't really give you an estimate here. But if you get your video response accepted for a video that is getting thousands of views you will surely get a peice of their traffic. Conversions depend on the niche and the channel's strength of brand.

I don't do direct linking. However from time to time I will recommend other products and of course use my affiliate link

Another benefit that hasn't been mentioned is that by posting your video as another Youtuber's video response created an internal link from their video to yours. Video pages on Youtube have Pagerank. If you an create a link from their page to yours, it transfers some of their Pagerank to your video. And the titles are similar, so now you have a Highly Relevant Keyword Rich Link to your video.

Unfortunately, you can only use your video as a video response once, not multiple places.

And don't just send videos as video responses in bulk. They can be flagged as spam by the receiver. I had a channel deleted for trying it.

Hey great points mentioned & yes I forgot about mentioning how this helps your page rank. Most forms of linking help your channels page rank. Even posting to another's channel's comments section adds to your score.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your fast answer!
@ Manie; I must make money like other warriors too as a business and I hope to make money with my youtube videos.

So when I hear you, you make money from your list you build with youtube subsribers.

Are these youtube subscribers in "buyer mode? or you make not money too? (hope not)

When you not make any money with your youtbe list (I hope not) , why build that, it is worst time?

I think build a youtube list is better to make money after, not directly, youtube viewer are not in direct "buyer mode".

That's part of the game of email marketing. Most subscribers optin for the free value; hence the ethical bribe. It's down to the list owner to build a relationship with them and convert them into a buyer.

Whatever you do on YouTube just remember one thing if you can get a ton of views you can build a following and your list. The more influence you can obtain the more money you can make.
