Can someone please tell me how I can search Google.com

I am in UK and, even when I put .com in browser, it redirects to .co.uk.

I know there is a solution, I've read it somewhere but can't bring it to mind.

Thanks

Karen

As you are in the UK, you have what is known as a UK ip address when you connect to the internet. Google detects this and thus redirects you to the uk site.

One way of getting round this is by means of a proxy. Am sure others will chime in...

      Thank you.

Yes, I know that my IP is a UK one but I read somewhere that there is a way to search google.com by adding something to your search - but I just can't remember where I read it. [yet another senior moment...]

Ah didn't interpret your question quite correctly then.

After you are redirected to google uk, try searching for a link which says google.com. Should be bottom right hand corner Click it and you'll be redirected back to google.com

Go to Google UK homepage, usually you'll find a link to Google.com at the bottom right of page.
