Why does Amazon pay 6.08% and 4.01%, etc, sometimes instead of just 6% or 4%

    Rounding what?

rounding to the nearest percent? then it should be always 6 percent for example, not 6.08 percent.

Unless you mean something else when you say rounding....

Just picking numbers at random to illustrate:

    Product Cost = $897.38

    4% = $35.8952

Amazon isn't going to pay you $35.8952 so it gets rounded (probably to $35.90)

    $35.90 / $897.38 = 0.0400053489045889

The numbers, as you can see, are not exact. Hence, slightly higher commissions.
