Hi Everyone!

I have a question and a plea for advice. My question is how do I get people to click on me adsense ads? I have written articles (which have not been approved yet), made videos, twittered, revised the content on my blog, etc. Yet still the most visitors I have had in a single day is 44 and I have made 5.09 in March so far from people clicking on my ads. Is there something I should do differently? Please help!

Thanks!

Matt

    TIME!!! TIME!!! TIME!!!

When I started in this business I had the same question. I was frustrated and couldn't figure out how so many people were making money when I wasn't. Then a wise man "Steve Wagenheim" told me to keep at it and time will tell the story. Guess what, a year and 200 articles later and I no longer ask this question.

It take time to build up respectable traffic to your site. Write a couple articles a day, post in forums, blog and even do a week long adwords campaign and you will see the traffic slowly build to a respectable amount.

Keep at it, perseverance will help you prevail.

There is no magic bullet to getting instant traffic. Everything is a building process. The good news is that once you get a little bit you can leverage that into a lot of traffic. If you have good content you can expect exponential results. Keep you nose to the grindstone and don't give up. That's what separates success from failure. People give up to easily. Good luck.

With 44 visitors a day which means 1300 monthly visitors, should make you $300-500 with a lucrative niche.

Why are you bothering with adsense if your niche is a bit lucrative, if it's not, why you are wasting time with a non-profitable niche.

Cross networking, I have blogs, squidoo lenses, hub pages, etc.. and they all are created on different topics that I am marketing. On each blog or lens,etc...you put links to the others. This helped me get clicks. It seems to really work when they get to your page and all the other links on your page goes to other pages you have created.

    Best,

If Adsense clicks are what you're after, I'd put more Adsense blocks in your blog. There aren't any in your sidebar, for example.

I definitely agree that five dollars is a good start and traffic increases exponentially as you start ranking for multiple keywords as well as variations of those keywords. In addition there is the sandbox affect that will be decreasing in severity as your links mature and you add content. i've found that the adsense blocks that work the best for my sites include sizes 336x280 - 120x600 - 468x60

in addition the way you blend the adsense ads is extremely important and generally placing ads on the left hand side work better than the right if you are targeting US visitors (i.e. we read from left to right). In addition, some niches are just not the best in regard to adsense, for example my MMO site as hard as I try is just not getting that many clicks (lucky to get 2% CTR). You might be wondering why I would offer this advice if my site is getting such crummy results... It is my experience that internet marketers don't really click on adsense ads (unless they feel like being nice to me or they think that some of the content I have provided them is worth something in exchange.) If you want to make money with adsense stay out of the MMO niche (unless you plan on making it to the top with grizz, alan and carl..)

I'd recommend focusing on niches that are loosly based on products or services, some of the ones i've found to be lucrative in regard to adsense revenue are : credit cards, business cards, shoes, health and fitness, medical care etc...

Keep submitting to article directories, posting links on forums, do follow blogs, creating a blog farm and add your other blogs to the blogroll, sign up for a service like AMA, 1WYL or Linkvana and make friends in your niche! These things have helped me greatly and my blog farm is stronger than ever because of it... Start with a niche that doesn't have a huge number of internet marketers competing, you can dominate and the competitors that don't understand SEO wont have a clue as to what happened (they may even decide to hire you or advertise on your website!)
