BAD REVIEWS PUBLISHED????

I have been online looking for something to start-up. In that time I have spent not an inconsiderable amount of time between my main occupation establishing what i want, who do i listen to, what products, etc.

Then you seek out what seems to be a great product or service, only to get a different angle on the whole offer.

Again, it happened today here on this forum. i spent a couple of hours looking at videos and websites......then I searched for the review for the product and found some negative reports.

My question, ( before I give you the links) am I allowed to go public with these reviews???

If so, next post.

There will always be negative reviews of any product/company/service because you just can't please everyone.

If it is your opinion that a product is not up to par then you have a right to express it. There's a difference between being a jerk and constructive criticism regarding the product so just be aware of how you come off as well.

Just a bit confused if you are referring to a product that is already in the review section here or if you are meaning to make a negative review on a place such as your own website?

Teresa_C is correct. There are bad reviews about every product ever made. There are plenty of people out there expecting to make millions overnight. When they don't... here comes a bad review. It's an unfortunate quirk of human nature that we are really, really, fast to criticize but really, really, slow to praise.

An important point to remember is that you should have enough basic knowledge about the product and/or the techniques described, to render some sort of judgment before you make a purchase. Never rely 100% on reviews.

Mixed results really. On the one hand for instance i have purchased software through this forum that I found lacking in the with respect to the details lacking regarding instructions for use....( should be newbie friendly) when $189.00 has been invested. the jury is still out on the performance of the product as i am still awaiting information from the ones I have contacted for advice before i use it.
However, I have purchased other products most recently from another warrior, very inexpensive. She has spent some time emailing, giving advice and generally being helpful.
I have the greastest respect for her.
so really as far as this software is concerned, the used information is not good enough.

If you have a neutral outlook then the reviews are based on sound judgement, then you speak as you find!
When you purchase a bunk bed or tv, you get a step by step, how to use / construct.
The manufacturers make sure they sell to EVERYONE with or without basic knowledge of the technical know how.
        Thats it really.

It has made me even more wary about this forum.
Judge for yourself about other issue is traffic crusher all that it is made out to be.
I was interested in purchasing this, but found these reviews from apparently sober, internet marketeers as not good news.
Can anyone out there give me a good honest appraisal of TC?

Go with your gut and speak from your heart . . . sometimes reviewers are nit-pickers, and sometimes they're not. Some customers read into a sales ad and expect more than what they paid for, and some customers read a sales ad and let others know if the vendor doesn't come through with the product or the guarantee.

I agree with traffic-bug, you also never know where a review came from. Don't believe everything you read. But don't ignore it either. Do your own due diligence. Make your best decision.

It's not a perfect system, but this isn't a perfect world, and getting others' reviews and opinions is the best system we've got :-)

    Best of success to you!

I was fired from my work for expressing my negative opinion about something that my bosses didn't like. That was probably the best day of my life, so go for it man! Express your opinions freely but the wise about, don't tell crap only because no one can catch you and your hiding behind a computer screen. Just use common sense and you'll be okay.

I think if you do a negative review it should be in a manner that is not a personal attack. Do it respectfully and leave the persons dignity in tact. It may not be suited for you but it may be for others. If you rant and rave then you are making yourself look disrespectful and I personally wouldn't buy a product from a person who rants and raves disrespectfully.

      Thanks for your replies all!
Very true, I am a positive person and i think i look for the positives first in what i do...Offline business doing project management for design / build schemes with architects...also built up a word of mouth customer base.

I am happy to give names of clients /references /we have done business for when asked...
This business online however, is a bit different, although there are good and bad products and people claiming to having your best interest at heart, it`s harder to make judgements on that basis, unless of course you are very experienced. ( this I am not)
So, I look for other sorces of information, searches for the products / reviews, etc.

Since last July last year I started to be interested in online businesses, i went to a boot camp in Brighton. ( sad long story of dissapointment)

I can honestly say, the responses / or SUPPORT i have had from the product i purchased mentioned above has been some what lacking...bare basic non descript information.

This is really not good enough.

I dont like bitching but i have over the years given my time and energies to help people in my business without charging them, even if it was not my fault..
It has paid me back in the long run.

Let me conclude by stating here, i have contacted, interacted with a few warriors and can say have a had very good support...others i have not.

these are the reviews on traffic crusher
If anyone can tell me any of these are not what they portay in their articles please let me know.

Your problem is solved! The product you are asking about is listed as "sold out". Easy decision.

Don't confuse getting started online with buying and evaluating the products of others. As long as you are reading multiple sales pages and reviews and decisions are "what to buy" and "who I can trust to buy from", you are in "buyer mode" not in "business mode".

i have purchased software through this forum that I found lacking in the with respect to the details lacking regarding instructions for use....( should be newbie friendly) when $189.00 has been invested. the jury is still out on the performance of the product as i am still awaiting information from the ones I have contacted for advice before i use it.
You purchased software - say it's lacking instructions and should be newbie friendly. Was it advertised as newbie friendly? Are your questions basic "how do I" that are general rather than concerned with the product? Some sellers are willing to provide loads of support - and some don't. It's the same offline.

I don't know your level of knowledge but it's common for instructions to say "install in the root" or "ftp to" or "change permissions" and for inexperienced buyers to complain "not newbie friendly". No instructions can give every detail that every person might need. But if the problem is terminology, it can usually become clear with a search of google with "how to...." I'm not saying this applies to your product or to you. "Newbie" is not a definitive term as it includes both those with some internet and computer knowledge and those without any knowledge at all.

Reviews may be from alternate names of the seller, affiliates looking for sales of the product, those unhappy with their purchase or those giving a review of something they've never tried. If you gain knowledge about basic traffic generation (available free in many threads here) you will have a better ability to decide whether a traffic product is one you need and can use or not.

I have literally made a career of publishing negative reviews but you do have to sound intelligent and well informed about a software/product. I actually make a lot of videos in this regard and point out negatives, while showing constructive alternatives in competing software.

This has brought a lot of traffic and Google search power to one of my websites, so much so, that programmers now contact me to review their stuff and ask for my opinions on it. My website has have also been referenced by designers quoting some of my more positive statements on their products.

Instead of posting your neg thoughts here though, start a blog about it writing in depth reviews of this program, and its competitors and sign then up for an affiliate program or two.

      Iteresting Marty,
To be able to judge a product before you actually commit is what I was looking for and came accross those website reviews. ( after i purchased in thi case)
what is the url of your review site?

I think i have been naive to think manufactureres of a product would actually sit down and think; "Let`s produce this product complete with an idiots guide for interested purchasers".
And just to find my self looking else where for the answers.
As we stand to day confirms it really, no messages of any significance in my mail box.And it just is`nt me, there were a lot of frustrated purchasers on the forum website, who actually sounded experienced webmasters....I rest my case.

Dont get me wrong this is a really helpful forum and I will continue to read / learn all that is available here. But I give credit wher i thinks it`s due and the opposite if I personally find something lacking.....
Well i must go now see if I can get the handle of it!

I'm confused, are you asking about writing your own personal opinion in reviews you write, or about posting links to reviews written by others?

If you like to collect both positive and negative reviews, you could start an IM Reviews Blog site where people know they'll get the "whole dirt."

As for whether promoting such a site could get you booted off Warrior Forum... guess you'd have to ask management about that.

    Regards,
