money is in the list, thats what i hear??

I've always heard the money is in the list, but when I first started, I always told myself, " if this person is selling another offer, it means that the email I got from them last time sent me to purchase something that truely doesn't make money, or else why would he be suggesting yet another offer?

For all of you who may think the same way, here's what I have to say now. If you've made money with one offer, master it, automate it, and go find a new method of making money to conquer.... The mOre the merrier.........

That's not entirely accurate though. A lot of people won't buy product A, for whatever reason, so why keep promoting the same product to them?

The last part of your comment is true, but many won't listen to that advice. If it was that easy, there would be far less products sold and less people on forums.

You see affiliate marketers offer multiple items because if you
offer just ONE item, you aren't going to make money from your
list. You are forced to constantly look for new customers.

Any business is better off focusing on making repeat sales to
existing customers who already know, like and trust you.

The model is to build a list and then offer them the things that
they need and want. After the first sale, repeat sales are much
easier... and it's much easier to sell to existing customers than
it is to sell to new customers.

Your cost of acquiring the customer is zero, after that first
sale if you focus on making repeat sales to the same customers.

So, if I understand your post correctly, it's flawed.

You are much better off focusing on selling to existing customers.

The only thing that I see wrong with the way some people market
to their list is that they often offer them things that are not
in the best interest, in a desperate attempt to make sales.

The money IS in the list, and most of the money is in the sales
    made AFTER the first sale.

Marlon Sanders back in 1998 coined that phrase. That's his whole business model. Find a hungry target market, givem something for free in exchange for their name and email address. Create products for them and have affiliates promote them.

You have to build trust, with your list and if you really want to monetize best, you should email twice a day. In the morning, send an email broadcast with a personal story or helpful tip. In the evening give them a short classified type ad.

The bottom line is, you need to identify the good marketers from the amatuer marketers. Good marketers always offer up good value products.

However, if you pop over to the wso forum, there are tons of wso's teaching you to build a list! this results in one thing!......................thousands of people building lists and just promoting any old product. The secret is finding the right lists to be on in the first place, something I'm currently working on! PM me if interestred!
