Hi guys, i have an ecommerce site I wish to sell it. It is in handicrafts niche.

The site is full of products and good content, it is two years old (hence trust worthy in the eyes of google).

Its designed to get inquiries not actual sales, since there is no payment gateway ( I have done it intentionally because pricing handicrafts has so many variables involved).

The site currently gets around 150 unique visitors/day and Gets around 30 Inquiries/month.

I want to sell the website since it is too much work, and I want to move to pure digital stuff.

So I was wondering:
How much should I sell it for ( I am okay with anything near $1000)?
Are there any free sites like flippa on which I can list my site?

I am pretty sure the site can do wonders for people in the industry because many handicrafts guys in India are paying around $1000 yearly to some directory and still get crappy and fake inquiries.

So your site earns nothing currently? That will be a hard sell with only 150 uniques a day. You might get a few hundred.

    Hi there,

I know you said you wanted free sites, but I really would consider listing your site with the "Complete websites for sale" sub-forum here at Warrior.

I know a few Warriors who have sold sites here for more than they were offered on sites like Flippa. Disclaimer: I'm not a site buyer/seller so I'm not speaking from DIRECT experience.

The website is targeted towards Indian audience, so I am not sure warriors will find value in it.

Well it all depends on the overall past record. I believe your site is good and can generate good amount of traffic in each day. So $1000 for this site would be very reasonable and logical to me. Best of luck.

You have a handicraft site that appeals to Indian handicrafts. Why don't you contact those guys and try to sell it to them. List them the benefits, how they can expand their business with it. Tell them instead of spending 1000$/month every month on ads they can have it for like $2000. Give them a quote see what comes.

Or else act like a advertising site for handicrafts, contact them and tell you are willing to put their ads on your site for any amount u agree on. More advertisers you have, more you'll make. Try it, it works most of the time.

I was thinking something similar, but i was thinking what angle I should take to back my claim?

It will be difficult to sell a website all of a sudden when they are not looking for one. It will be easier if I can find someone from handicrafts industry who is already looking for a website and then I tell him that instead of getting a new one he can get an established one for some more money.

Don't assume things. Go out and market it. If you can show them they are really going to make more profits with them they would be interested. Tell them you get 150 visitors/day, and if you make list and promote to them they can easily get 3-4 clients daily, it should really appeal to them.

Tell them how else they can use this website to promote their business. Think.

Go to classified sites where they have their ads, contact them.

I would install a cart and get a few sales. I think it would be worth the time and would make it much more appealing as a site on flippa.

Another thing that will affect whether or not it sells or not is its link profile. If it doesn't have natural links, then it will be worth much less...

Flippa is a good way to start, it is one of the best website trading places on the web.

Ok, it's time for some spoon feeding.

You go to the main forum and click on buy, sell, trade.

Then, you make a spiffy looking ad and maybe someone will buy it.

    Good luck my friend!
