Promoting other website on WF?

Every time I post this promotional video on this great blog, that isn't mine.
The thread is removed. Where can I post promote sites on the forum?

  • So its a sales video? or an affiliate link?

You can put promote affiliate offers in the Classified Ads section.

    • A: I remain quite unconvinced there's no connection there. You're remarkably persistent about posting a promotional video for someone who isn't benefiting from it.

B: Re-posting deleted threads is not a good idea here. I've personally deleted the same thread from you 3 times.

C: The discussion areas are not intended for advertising. If you want to run an ad here, pay for it. Like everyone else.

  • Post your ad here:

..and learn to read the forum titles before posting... If it is discussion, it's discussion - not promotion.

  • Basically what your all saying is that it's wrong to promote others on this forum without paying for it, or without gaining from it.

If it's a yes please do not reply.

    • Isaiah,

You were given very clear and consise answers by Paul and John. Don't twist their words.

Get over it and move on. There is a lot of value in this forum and I would hate to see you lose out and get banned just because you insist on flogging a dead horse, when you could learning something new instead and taking your business to a new level.

Just a thought. Use it. Don't use it

      Di

[Edit] I wonder why you changed your signature?
    • Guy, Paul has already said he is not convinced there is no connection. You're arguing a motive that has been deemed false thus far.
  • Oaky, I'm just going to share the video with you guys, because your basing your opinions on what one person said. Also to anyone saying get over it I have a movie quote for you.

[Video promoting the same product/company as all the other times deleted by mod]

What do you think, does it sound like I'm trying to gain anything from this?

You have a lot to gain from reposting this video when mods have deleted it. You might just get yourself a little WF vacation. Hope it is worth it to you. I imagine that most of us aren't in the least bit interested in your video and I have never seen the company you're promoting resort to spamming this forum before. They actually contribute here and are well known.

    • Yes, of course. The mods are an overwhelming army of invaders, out to take over your homeland. Such a wonderfully vivid emotionalism.

Except it's an absurd lie. The average length of membership for the people who have mod access across the whole forum is something like 12 years. You've been a member for 6 weeks.

There are 6 of us, plus the mods who keep some of the sub-forums useful, and one who moderates the blogs. All have been here for multiple years.

If you want to make an analogy involving "the 300," who stand against the invading hordes, you ought to be talking about the members who report the spam, scams, rules violations, and general dipstickitude. That's probably about the right number.

The guy who banned you only gave you a day off. You're lucky. You had the same post deleted 3 times, and were warned about not re-posting deleted material. That is, in essence, 3 more warnings than you usually get for that. And you did it again.

If you had read the posted rules, you would have noticed that videos are usually treated as articles when they start a thread, and are deleted. That would have saved you the time you spent making this lovely bit of allegedly non-promotional fluff.

  • You need to follow the rules, that's what keeps WF sane.
