[HELP] Trying to get a refund for a training I did...

Hey,

Few months ago I did a "selling from the stage" training that cost me
$4K and it ended up being a big pitch fest for most expensive stuff.

Needless I was pissed off!

I'm trying to get a refund for it but they refuse to give it to me.

Have you been in this situation before?

What strategies did you used to get your refund?

Thank you

Ryan

    What was their refund policy?

How did you pay for it? Credit card? PayPal?

I know it sucks, but it could be that they have a no-refunds policy, or that you're outside of the window now.

Can't say I've been in quite that kind of situation- I've received refunds for $500 seminars before- because I canceled and requested the refund a month before the seminar occured, not after.

Did they have a refund guarantee anywhere on their sales page or program description? If they did, then they're obligated to carry it out. From what medium did they sell their product/service? If you paid through services like Clickbank or Paypal, you can file a dispute to get your money back. Please provide more detail

It may take more work since no seller would want to refund $4,000 because that is obviously a lot of money.

Their refund policy was that you can ask for a refund on the 2nd of the event
      which I didn't.

But it was of those event where they pump you up with NLP and exercis. You get into the group stuff, they know that it won;t happen...

Ryan; You aren't due a refund. The lesson here is that if you see several guest speakers, they all have something to sell. That's why they are there. I know, I've sold at several of those events.

But I've never been to an event where they knowingly gave bad advice.
I have watched two speaking coaches on their DVDs that I thought were worthless. So I would never sign up for anything they sold. Were they giving bad advice? No, just not what I thought was valuable to me.

It's unethical to refuse a refund when asked during the guarantee period.
It's unethical to demand a refund way outside the guarantee period..... In my opinion.

Admit it...you just need $4,000 and this is the way you think you'll get it.

Would I give someone a refund after several months? Not on your life. Unless that was part of the guarantee.

        Agreement is agreement..

If they state that you are entitle to a refund in 3days and if that 3days lapse and you didn't request for it then you will not in anyway be qualified for it anymore.

You are probably feeling like why should you pay for this stuff, it does happen after you have digested a tutorial or watched a moive 100%, it will suddenly look like something you can make with a lift of finger.

Move on, it you have passed your refund period, you will be seen as a thief if you ask for refund.

I don't mean to take away from this thread but I had kind of a similar situation I bought a WSO that totally bombed, customer service was horrible and it had a 60 day money back guarantee "no questions asked" I have sent 2 messages asking for a refund. The first one they replied back right away with sure send me your details which I did and never heard back from them again. I paid by credit card. What are my options if I have any?

    Thanks

critterman , You can contact them again. You can post in WSO thread from where you buy that product, PM the seller.

It would be great if you have paid with pay pal, you can easily file a dispute with PayPal and they help you to get your refund.

You have more protection by paying with your credit card, because if it's a digital product or a service, Paypal will side with the seller most of the time.

If the seller won't respond, contact your credit card and file a charge back.
