3. The type of offer that you bought from twice should have smelled like s*** from the start.

I've never done anything in the adult niche myself (Ok, I've browsed. I don't want to be a liar here

:p), but PPC seems like a smart idea off the top of my head. I definitely wouldn't try article syndication with this niche, that's for sure!

How much did you pay for them 7k visitors?

If it is guaranteed popup or popunder traffic it is a waste of time. This would explain why you didn't get any signups.

yup very wise words, and you forgot one important one that goes hand in hand with your first three points. GUEST POSTING on a high traffic blog. The traffic from you links will not get much targeted than that. All for free....or on occasions I have paid $10 - $20 to do a guest post and even that has proved very good! :-)

Finding good "paid" traffic is what all the people that won't find the time to learn traffic generation are looking for. It is very elusive and most that find it keep their sources close to their vests.

Being in the adult market myself, I can tell you that most traffic brokers in adult provide worthless traffic that they call "targeted" but in reality is skimmed off other sites.

Just ask yourself this question, "If you found yourself redirected to another site and not what you clicked on, what would YOU do?"

Personally, I would hit the back button. Most of that traffic does the same.

So I hope you find what you're looking for without wasting as much money as I did.

  True story. In order to get people interested in your offers, you must advertise on sites that already have adult traffic....and traffic that is SIMILAR to your offer. So, if you're promoting an adult dating site, or a live cam or something.... it would be best to advertise on sites that have adult-oriented forums, adult pictures, adult conversations.... It's very possible that the traffic that you're paying for are real visitors, but they're just not interested in adult stuff.... Maybe they're all sports geeks who are looking to watch a game online....or maybe they're World of Warcraft players? Why would they be interested in signing up for an adult site when their primary interest is not in the adult dating niche? Does this make sense? Go where the demographic for your offer is. Dont just buy random traffic and expect them to convert because you're paying for it. Just because you consider your dollar valuable, doesn't mean that the person that you're buying traffic from does. They're concerned about making money on their end, not about how much money YOU make. There is a reason why the traffic you're buying is cheap....because it's NOT targeted to the type of people that would sign up for your offer. Either that, or you're not marketing to them in a way that really resonates with them. Are you speaking their language in your ads? Do you REALLY know the type of people that you're trying to target for signups? All of these things are very important when you market a product online.

1. Search Engine optimization. Generate useful content like articles and blogs, through social networking and the development of multimedia. I highly recommended Long tail theory.
2. Build the backlinks for the website. With backlinks, search engines will directly index the website after finding the links.
3. There are some companies could increase the web traffic for the users. For example, the KSnipe Submitter. It can automatically submit articles, forum profile, and blogs to the various websites.

My guess is that there's a 90% chance traffic isn't your problem.

People always think it's a traffic problem.

Most people don't have a problem with traffic. They have a problem with extracting value from traffic. If you can extract maximum value from traffic, you can afford all of the traffic you need.

I could be wrong. Given that you're new, and in adult, I doubt it.

Learn how to extract value from traffic. Then traffic is no longer a problem.

Honestly, the market of the adult niche is everywhere. You just need to go where most people are and advertise there. I have not experimented on this niche enough to make a conclusion but I have seen lots of these ads in social networks and free image uploading sites (EDIT: the ads are not from adult sites but can be converted if you are smart enough). Try to brainstorm and see if you can come up with more ideas.

Set up an affiliate program and let others deal with sending you traffic. That's the best thing to do if you don't "have time" to learn. Although running a successful affiliate program is no walk in the park either.

Real, valuable traffic isn't something you can just get now. It takes a lot of hard work to get constant traffic. If it was as easy as just buying something or using one technique everyone would be doing it. Get farmiliar with basic traffic generator methods and built off that. It will get you so much further than buying fake traffic

Have you ever thought or tried advertising on craigslist? I am not 100 percent sure about their terms and conditions on adult-related content/advertisement but you may want to check that out. We had a few clients who ordered some contents for their advertising campaign on craigslist and they said it worked. They are not into adult-niche though. But like I said, you may want to check their terms of service if they will allow such campaign.

As someone that runs an adult oriented ecommerce site,

Here are some simple methods to get quick traffic to your site.

Its true what was stated previously, go to where you will find adult oriented trafic.( J. Robinson)

Not sure what is the exact adult niche you are in, but you can try some of these sources to get traffic to your site, not to sell direct.

Adult oriented classified sites, or those that allow adult classifieds, such as backpage.

Adult Forums, such as escort review boards. There are plenty of such boards in Canada and US, and they get tons of traffic. Get some accounts and use signature link.

Banner Ads on adult oriented sites, including the escort review boards.This is not free, but the traffic is good.

Go and google your keywords, find a quality website with advertising areas, contact the owner and invest. Find videos in youtube with hot girls (there are a LOT) with increasing stats and contact the owner to offer some kind of deal.

I've always (Okay, not always) thought it might be interested to try to work out a deal with some of the webcam models that have thousands of people watching them at a time. You can either go with paid banner traffic, cost per click traffic or pop under traffic.

straight away it sounds like you have been ripped off mate. I never do those 100,000 visitors for $10 scams. The traffic is S***! What about Plenty of fish advertising? I think that or PPC would be better. I think you will have to learn traffic generation my friend. Its a key kill in IM! we all need traffic lol. I must admit I don't work within the 'adult' niche so don't have much experience there

If your looking for "fast" traffic, or a quick fix it isn't going to happen. Learn and read everything you can about SEO, backlinks, etc. Make sure you have a social media account, Twitter rocks, so that you can use keywords, get followers within your niche, and other sites in your niche. Build those connections and your traffic will rise and you will get targeted traffic.

I personally work in 2 adult niches, solely through affiliate marketing, and my traffic is not extremely high at all, but I get decent conversion rates. I haven't been doing this long, but it is a niche I enjoy and know a lot about, so I do a decent job promoting on my blog, interconnect that with my main sites etc., I try to promote only the best quality sites within the niche which also means that my rebill/retension rate is good, so those sites can see that and are helpful in giving me extra and or better than the normal promo content they usually provide.

As for paid traffic. I look at it this way. Most of those "paid traffic" programs work kinda like Publishers Clearing House, or those scam "Free Product offers." They present the surfer with hurdles to jump through that the surfer doesn't want. In order to get to what they do want, they have to click on your banner. For the surfer, that is a boring formality, they don't even look at your site. They click on and close. So stay away from them.

Just focus on building quality backlinks, read and apply as much SEO pratrices (GOOD SEO practices) as you can, and build good relationships within your niche

Find relevant videos on YouTube that are getting tons of views and have no link in the description. Contact the owner and make an offer for them to put a link to your site in the description for a few bucks (with a few words preceding the link to entice viewers to click).

Bulk traffic packages are suspicious, and be careful when you buy.

I suggest you try PPV, and use some URLs of hot sites in your niche as the keywords, and the cost is low.

SEO is a promoting strategy. You might as well just do Seo assuming that it profits than it fetches you, isn't that so? Actually plenty of people join adult sites. The "free stuff" depending on your niche is starting to go away as studios and individuals are starting to crack down on the people stealing content. Also, again depending on the niche, a lot of the stuff on tube sites is old content that people don't feel like removing mostly because it's crap.

Traffic is the same regardless of what niche you are in.

Always learn exactly what YOUR niche is first.

Then, when you know that , you target places where people interested in that niche are.

Look for free and paid advertising in those niches and drive them to your blog/landing page
