Best method for automatically adding content to landing pages using xsitepro2?

I use Xsite Pro 2 and I have put up 22 affiliate sites in the last 2 months. I have been working hard and it is beginning to pay off. They are all single page soft squeeze landing pages with videos (affiliate links) and keyword rich text, they generally rank well and convert well so far.

A few of my sites are above the fold 1st page but it is hard to stay there. The others are just too new to keep or get them there just yet.

Just a drop from #6 to #11 results in 1/3 the traffic for a given site....

I am trying to rely on organic as I do not completely understand adwords yet and I do like the idea of organic traffic.

I notice a few of the sites I am trying to outrank are using a word press
type setup with some of them having 20 or so pages of content, archives, etc.

It seems the blog type affiliate pages have a real advantage in this area. I know they can take advantage of autoblogging software and as far as I know I can not without going that route.

I know content is king, as well as an seo optimized site and I understand this pretty well.

Is there any way to create updated content via rss or any other method besides switching to a word press blog type format on all of my sites?

I have rss feeds that are keyword related on several of the sites but this only changes and gets replaced, nothing is added or 'sticks' if you get what I mean.

I know I could create a forum, use link bait etc.

I am looking for some methods of adding content or allowing users to add content I don't know I might be missing an angle?

I don't really want to set up a forum on every site either but if that is the best way then I will consider it.

Just looking for some input on what methods any of you have discovered or like to use?

what speaks against WP? Dont get me wrong...i myself started with XSP also and for its time it was good.

But what you describe is exactly the shortcomings since you want more..and XSP cant provide those features. The concept of XSP is very "5 years ago"....

if WP can do what you want (VERY likely with the number of available plugins)...why not make a WP blog? Its NOT harder than XSP *at all*, actually its easier.

Make a blog, copy the static sites from your XSP site to the blog..i guarantee you will be a happy camper.

wayyyyyy lower learning curve than XSP....easiest: You install a blog right from your fantastico/cpanel.

Then get yourself some nice free templates (make a HELL of a difference)...and play around with it. In a few days you're a WP master

You should be able to keep the links if you use the right permalinks settings and use matching page/post titles.

You can design a WP blog to integrate with the same
look or your XSP sites. The blog can be dynamic while
the main site is static. There is no "best" solution.

It seems your criteria is getting more traffic so you can
get money from the sites. Thus, split-test - make an
indentical WP blog to your XSP site and use the same
domain... or use the same link-building approach and
number/quality of backlinks to determine for yourself
whether or not using one or the other gets you more
    traffic.

I got XP when it first came out and have XP2 as well. For the majority of my sites I use WP almost exclusively because it does rank do well and easily and it very easy to set up use. I still do use XP because it has alot of fun neat features but as a compliment to my WP sites. I also use it to integrate the RAP script for sales pages.

For ranking and SEO I go with WP over pretty much anything else out there. And yes, if you do set up the permalink structure correctly, you can keep the same URLs. There are almost unlimited themes and plugins available to make WP do just about anything you want. One you get into it, and it is easy to learn, you get hooked pretty quickly and wonder why you ever used anything else. At least that was the case with me and many people I know as well.

    Good luck!

Yeah, thanks for all the input it confirms my thinking.... I quickly learned by simply keeping tabs on my competition that the WP themed sites have a large advantage in organic rankings.

Time for me to become a WP master should not take long. I learned Microsoft Expression and that was a nightmare compared to XSP. This sounds like it should be easy.

I have already installed WP with fantastico just playing around, easy as pie.

I have a reseller account w host gator so I can do everything on my own....

Time to get to work, better now than after another 22 sites are up.

You know you can rank XSP sites just as well as WP sites. Adding a WP blog behind an XSP site is also an option.

Getting more links and adding unique content is a good idea regardless of the platform.

I do love WP as well.

I know it is (content is king I hear ya) I hope to be able to do it automatically via plug ins.... That is not an option with XSP I have to do it myself. That's going to be a huge pain in the azz when I have 150 sites up....

But VERY lucrative if I can do it on autopilot.....

I fiddled with Joomla for a bit but as well it's a bit complex for what I need here I think.
