Will this site work ?

Ok so i am looking into creating a site where i share tricks and tips on a variety of things, they can be related to the internet or to everyday life, i want the domain www .tricksandtipshq. com i just want to know if this website idea will pay off, i am not looking into a specific website, i want people to search there problem and come up with a page on my website discussing how they can solve/help that problem, will this technique work ? will i get a good amount of traffic being brought to my site?

    Tips and tricks can at least be spread through social networks, so I think your idea is a decent one. Allow users to contribute tips too.

    Your idea is similar to about.com? or like yahoo answers? Well you are talking that people can get answers for their tech questions in your website. It needs a lot of time and hard work. First of all, you need a bunch of guys to keep answering on the tech questions plus you need to plan for SEO to get people moved to your website for answers.
    And 1 suggestion, make the name shorter and unique like tiptrick.com / toptrick.com which will create a brand name instead a long name

      I am going for more of a approach where someone will type in e.g how do i get my sony vegas pro 11 clips to render faster and hopefully with good SEO i would be a link they will click and read.

    Just know that such website will not make you good profits soon. Adsense ads will not be worth a lot and there will be less products to promote. Also, if you would try to build a list it would lilely be a 'freebie seeker' one.

    I would recommend to start with a micro niche one with high adsense CPC or promote products.

    Also try to have tips and tricks on very popular things...things that can easily go viral! And Pin them! Digg them and so one!

    It will work. Just focus on quality content as Google's latest update will put your site into trash if the content is not good enough. That is a good idea.
