clickbank vendors - incorporate your company? (canadians preferred)

Hey Warriors,

I am in the final stages of preparing my product for launch on clickbank. I was wondering if any of you that are already clickbank vendors can offer some insight.

Do you register a company and the clickbank product under that company name to protect your personal assets?

My clickbank product is in a sensitive area, so I need to protect my personal assets in case someone gets sue happy.

Are there specific liability / disclaimers you use? Where do you get them from? Do you have lawyers create them or just use ones off the internet?

In particular, I am looking for insight from Canadian clickbank vendors as I am located in Canada myself. I know there is no LLC concept in Canada, what's the equivalent that would help protect me?

Regards,
-Raven

  • There is a limited partnership available in Canada but it may not be what you need.

Also be aware that you need to weigh your options on a "province by province" basis.

If you are however writing an ebook similar to "how to do brain surgery at home using simple household tools", you might want to first consult on this and your other questions regarding liability and disclaimers etc with an actual business lawyer practicing in your province.
