For those of you involved in listbuilding...traffic?

How are you primarily driving traffic to your squeze pages?

So far, most people I've spoke with are focusing on adswaps, solo ads, and giveaways. I used to do quite a bit of SEO, but that was pre-panda/penguin and haven't done anything much in that regard since updates are constantly going on.

Anyone still using article marketing? How about video? I was thinking that video might be a great strategy to add to the arsenal.

What are your top 5 traffic strategies for driving visitors to your squeeze page?

    Yes ofcourse people still use article and video marketing and yes it works.. They still drive traffic to websites. Blog commenting, forum posting, article marketing, social bookmarking and guest posting.

    but the thing is, Wouldn't it be difficult be advertising products
    when all the subs in your list are also on other lists?

      Solo ad sellers are always topping up their own lists with new subscribers, but yes, there is always a chance that there will be an overlap of subscribers from different solo ad providers.

      Just don't try "ProSoloAds", they sent me untargeted pop-under traffic.

    What are the target demographics of the people you want to join your list, and where do they hang out?

    Banner advertising on the popular sites will work really well, why do you think it's $100 a day to get the top slot here at the warrior forum?

    Also make sure that you're marketing funnel is ready so that you can make a return on investment during the sign-up process rather than having to rely on sales from the follow-up emails.

    All methods you mentioned do still work. You can use Article Marketing, videos and of cause SEO. Penguin and Panda are not as bad as people tend to think about them...

    we all do things slightly different but one thing that i wanted to get away from was SEO

    now that i don`t get hardly any traffic from SEO i don`t care when the clowns over at google do another update

    i can sleep way easier at night now knowing that my traffic will never be effected

    my traffic sources are:

    My blog
    solo ads
    ppc
    forums
    affiliates
