Seeking an e-commerce platform.

Hello,

I'm seeking an e-commerce platform for digital products and services.

Preferably a solution that can be purchased outright as opposed to a monthly commitment type solution.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Ron

    What type of digital products?

You can use regnow.com or plimus.com to sell your digital products.

I guess I should have been more clear.

Digital download products, like e-books and/or software.

regnow.com & plimus.com are the exact opposite of what I'm looking for, they're both online solutions.

I'm looking for an e-commerce solution that I can purchase and install on a server so there are no monthly recurring charges.

Any ideas or suggestions would be welcomed, thanks.

you could try both joomla and virtuemart together they cost nothing as they are open source, there are some really cool plugins to use with them too

and better still there are some great joomla templates for virtuemart if you take a look at templateplazza.com

virtuemart has multiple gateways you can use ie paypal, worldpay, google checkout, etc - if your preferred payment gateway is not available you can usually find a third party plugin that will configure it for you.

    hope that helps

I highly recommend OSCommerce. It's free and has great peer support and plenty of plugins to suit any type of site. I have installed many OSC shops over the years and still run one today.
