Safelists: Do they Still Work?

Hello Warriors,

I have not used any of these in a very long time but was wondering if there is any value to joining a safelist.

Has anyone ever had a profitable experience with a particular Safelist? If so, which one would you recommend?

      I went Safelist crazy a few years back, and again earlier this year, and never really got anywhere. It's very likely I wasn't doing something right, but to me it seemed like a community of people clicking ads to get enough points to be able to post ads. Does anyone really read your ad or web page? Do they? I know that I read very few of them. Even with the countdown timers to force you to read them, I basically skim and wait. So, I realize that my ads/pages are also being skimmed and waited on. To me, Safelists are just not worth my time. But don't let my opinion stop you. :p

    Joel, I do feel the same way on many levels. At the same time though, people are seeing your site because they want to credits. Eventually, the page will call someone's attention to register. I am exhausting all options right now. From rss feeds to building authority sites and seo right on over to autoresponders. My biggest challenge right now is getting the traffic to my squeeze page. I just put the page up about a month ago and have had about 6 people register so far. The seo side of it is starting to index within the first 5 pages of google and page 1 of Bing.

      Hi Steven, safelists can work well for people who are both (a) using them for listbuilding rather than making a "direct offer", and (b) promoting something aimed specifically at safelist members.

      People dismissing safelist traffic as "non-targeted" are typically those whose own specific promotion isn't targeted at that specific traffic, in which case it clearly isn't going to work for them (but some of those people have slightly different concepts of "causation" from yours and mine, and the way they see it, it's the safelist that "isn't targeted" :rolleyes: :p ).

    I feel that no one will look at my ad , the main concern is getting point to be able to send emails.

    I tested some of them , I got some subscribers , but they don't open my follow up massages.

    But still it is a way to generate some clicks to your squeeze page

    safelists are old, and beware, even if people subscribe to your page or you have a good optin offer, they are mostly junk, as they see other offers like this and their mind is sort of programed to just think junk.l

    I think the safelist days are over myself, but there are some that can make it work.
