Sales Funnel Confusion

I'm having a difficult time visualizing all the moving parts to setup my sales funnel.

It's frustrating because i don't know what to outsource exactly, and i don't want to get "taken" as i don't have a much cash to throw away.

I've already purchased optimizepress, and have successfully setup a squeeze page, and integrated that with my email marketing service.

So i understand what the thank you page, and the welcome sequence are...

But in terms of putting up a product and charging money for it, can someone simplify this or give me an "idiot proof" frame of reference?

I'm not sure what's going on here. Are you building a list and trying to sell a OTO or "One-Time Offer?" or Do you have a product that you're trying to sell, and you want to build a list of the people that buy your product?

essentially, i'm giving away the product i've busted my butt on, in order to build my list up for the launch that i'm preparing for in january.

The course is a 5 phase, and 55 part autoresponder series that has taken me 9 months to create...

So, i want to monetize it because i need some cash, so i'm offering paid support options as upsell and downsell options...

Im just not sure how to do that...?

Your question is a bit confusing. Are you asking what the sales funnel should be?
    Here's how it usually works:
Squeeze Page > Email Confirmation -> Email Sequence (to promote the product) -> Sales Page (with good sales copy) -> Order/Payment Page (ClickBank, Paypal, etc) -> Download Page -> Upsells and Downsells

Thanks guys, yes i understand that's the typical way to do it, however i want to test this out because the giveaway is an insanely valuable autoresponder series, and although i do want to build my list, the option to purchase support and have your questions answered as you go through the course is why i want to stick the upsell and the downsell IMMEDIATELY after the opt-in.

Does that make sense? Or at least, do you understand what i'm trying to do?

We're not sure what you want to do.

I read your comment several times and I really couldn't understand what you're trying to do here.

    i want to go...

squeeze page --> OTO 1 --> OTO 2 --> Email Confirmation --> Thank you page (product consumption directions for those that purchased the OTO'S.)

I know it's a little out of the ordinary, but it seems to make a lot of sense to me...

it's like a mini-launch, because the video on the squeeze page is like more of a sales video, only i'm giving the product away for free...

How do you not understand what i'm saying here?

So let me get this straight, you're main goal is to build your list. You're giving away a course for free, but you want to offer an upsell. The upsell is gonna be "customer support" from you... and you would like to know how to go about this?

    Is that right?

    EDIT: What are the OTO's?

    That's right Javaun.

See cuz the "free gift" is a comprehensive 55 part progressive autoresponder series... the OTO's are the ability ask questions once a week on the phone as the upsell, and the ability to ask questions via email is the downsell.

    See what i'm saying?

Yes I see exactly what you're saying now. I suppose you can just make two extra pages on your site with paypal "Buy Now" buttons.

On one page, this will be the page they're directed to after the download (you should be able to do this from your autoresponder), you will have the Upsell. It should be as simple as a mini sales page, letting them know what they're getting if they buy, and let them know how they'll get it. You can have an email sent to their paypal email address (if you're using paypal) with your phone number if they buy.

Now for the people who don't want to buy. You can add an exit pop-up so that when they go to exit out of the OTO #1 page, a pop-up with your downsell offer ... well, pops up. If they click "Ok" on the downsell pop-up, you can have them redirected to the OTO #2 page, which will be the same as OTO #1, a mini sales page except having email as the main contact method.

When answering questions, I sometimes get carried away and speak in an unorganized manner.

Let me know if there's anything that you don't understand.
