where's the place place to purchase a domain?

I have some domains hosted at Go daddy but their prices are getting very high. They want $11.99 for a new .info. So where is the best place to purchase and host a domain / not hosting.

Thanks

You may use promo codes when you purchase a domain at NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-. Google those codes. Personally, I purchase domains from NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO- and host them to HostGator.

Namecheap is the best I have found.

I highly recommend staying away from NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-.

You can try "namecheap". Although $10-20 is very normal even for the cheapest sites.

Yea, it looks like namecheap has a $.99 first year deal going on for a .info domain and $9.99 at renewal.

IMO I haven't found anything noticeably cheaper than NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-. And probably nothing when coupled with coupons.

It's namecheap every time for me. I can't cay that I've noticed any difference in the cost though. just watch for the add ons.

Incidentally, you can get .tk domains for free.... just depends on the use & purpose you require.

.TK is known for spam and can be problematic. See the article on wikipedia, or do a search on google

Name.com ...use a coupon. free private under $10
you need to use a coupon, for free privacy, can't use 2 coupons when buying.
buy the domain, when you are done immediately buy privacy, free after coupon.
coupons change from time to time google search gets you current info

    I use NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-.com also.

I normally just do a google search for some promotional codes and 99% of the time I find one that knocks at least 40% off.

Just do a little research and you'll be surprised.

I am laughing. They must have hit a filter or a site that is blacklisted on the WF.

lol ... you should have seen the one they had for blackhat. It might be gone now, I don't know.

EDIT: Yep ... it's gone. It used to change blackhat into bluefart.

Searching a promotional code for buying a domain is a very good idea. Although it is important to stay away from bad domain service providers.

I would think it would either be a filter or a mod came in and made adjustments by hand.

I think 1and1 is pretty cheap. I've used Go Daddy in the past, but they're not the most inexpensive. I ALWAYS use Coupon Codes.

Why does Go Daddy come up as "NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-" when you post it in this forum? I'm new here (in case that's not obvious enough ).
