Backlinks to Youtube Videos, Will you get Penalized for Low Quality

I've read recently that because Youtube is an authority site you can build bs backlinks like major scrapebox blasts to your Youtube videos and you won't get penalized?

Has anyone done any testing with this?

    I would advise against using scrapebox for "blasts" since the panda update.
    The Google algo's can see how and when the backlinks were formed (especially on YouTube for...obvious reasons)

    I would personally use Scrapebox (awesome tool) to get the pages you can leave your link on but DONT blast them all in one go. Spread them out, make it look more organic.

    At the same time, generate backlinks from social media sites, maybe some targeted blogs...keep it varied and keep it regular to make it look more organic.

    But don't for goodness sake blast the video

    If you're uploading crap 10 to 30 sec videos telling people to click your link in the description. Then blast that video

    Comments, Likes, Dislikes, Playlists and most importantly embeds all work well for YouTube search and I believe backlinks work well for Google Search a mixture of all the above will work well, don’t use scrapebox for blasting just use it to harvest high value pages that will be of SEO value and also traffic and engagement value and post manually in the long run this will be more beneficial. If possible find relevant pages and ask webmasters to write a post about your video and also embed it other than an eye catching thumbnail and unique title with keywords included in the description and tags, I can’t really think of anything else.
