Woo Hoo! First Person on My list!

I been around a while but have only just started building my list using aweber.

I have had one other list for a product I created years ago which I never did anything with, mainly because I had no idea what I was doing back then. Fast forward a few years a few K down the drain...

I can instantly see why people say there is is so much value in lists (the money is in the list). This guy is basically now a loyal asset that If I treat well and give him what he wants, will happily kick along with me and hopefully swap his hard earned money for some of my value later down the track!

This guy I believe came through via free forum ads and sig links (no, not from here, a different non I.M. forum).

Im at work now and will be checking analytic's when I get home to see which channel he came from and then put a little more time and effort into that.

Well said, but don't make it the ONLY step and stop here, keep moving.

      Congrats.

Congrats Audrei. Now, work hard at building a responsive list rather than a big one. If you can do both, great. But that takes time. Again, congrats.

Congratulations!! I too remember how excited I was when my first subscriber signed up. Now that you've overcome this initial hurdle, you can concentrate on providing value to your small list and watching it grow.

Excellent share. Also there were a few times where I would take an email and personally email them. I'd invite them to save my email address and correspond with me. I simply ASKED them why they joined and what their expectations were. I asked for their permission to continue to communicate with them.

I was surprised to learn what I learned from those that replied. I used what was shared to strengthen my squeeze page, my follow up emails, the language I used in the emails...the freebies I gave. I asked, I listened, and I was rewarded.

Congrats to your newest asset, may the continue to grow and contribute to your overall success!

    Way to go buddy.

Now what you want to do is start building a bigger list and make sure that new subscribers are added every single day. There are many people who just sit there and never read your emails, let alone buy.

So build your list and make sure that you add new people all the time on a DAILY basis.

Every lead is valuable, but understand this: Every lead is a
waste if he/she does not convert into sales... And the size of
    the list does. Not. Matter!

It only matters if you're sure that you're recruiting highly
interested prospects that WANT to buy and are not very
    resistant to your sales.

Some markets I market to started profiting (over revenues)
under 200 leads... That's how focused you could get!

Nothing's more valuable than a FRESH list of proven buyers.

The lead list is just the start of everything else.

Excellent start, the next target needs to be at least one new subscriber every day.

Why not get in touch directly and make them feel special for finding your site?

I just anchored down and started really focusing on building a a list of myself last week and spent all last week and the weekend setting up my squeeze page and finding a decently priced and relevant OTO to promote once they opt in and got my first subscriber yesterday. I have a solo ad set to go out this evening too so I can't wait to start building my list and building a real business. I kick myself when I think about how I started last year to build a list then got caught up in some other method, a La shiny object syndrome and dropped my already growing list of over 250. Oh well I have learned so much more since then so this is my chance to refocus and rebuild even better and start seeing some real success. Kudos to the OP man let's both keep it going!

The offer is not finished yet (membership site for classified listings). We will be selling 3 types of listings.

The current email that goes out is a thank you and welcome email which tells them the story of how we got started with the idea and when we plan to launch (they know from the optin page that it is a pre launch to a new website).

And then as we get closer to launch ill be sending launch emails and then as we add people to the site as registered users they will automatically get added to the list
