To chase the Xmas or not?

I am new to this and I have a idea for specific ebook that will be first of its kind. Its very targeted, trust me.

So, I dont want to do some 50 page leaflet, I want to make it a proper book, 150 pages or so. But it will take time to do it.

ALso it will take time to set up web site, send it to Amazon for approval, set up affiliates, work on marketing and so on.

Since now is the 5th of October I was thinking to rush it so that I can publish it till 1st of December to catch that Xmas madness.

So, I am asking you people that have experience with these things is it worth to rush it so that I can have it before Xmas.

Does Xmas make a difference on your sales figures? Do they rise around that time of the year.

The thing is that I would have to rush it then, and I dont wont to deliver semi product so I dont know if its worth it to rush it just to have it out by Christmas.

What are your thoughts?

The answer is within your post mate; if you have a really good idea and want to put out a good product, you shouldn't rush it.

Yes, the sales tend to explode around Christmas, but I don't think it's a good idea to hit the market with an unfinished/unpolished product, especially if you are serious about it and want to build a reputation for yourself.

Yes thats what I thought. Since I am new to all this it will take time for me to do all of the background tasks needed to make it work.

I wish you the best of luck mate. You seem to be focused about what you are doing and that's the first step. Just don't lose focus, don't get sidetracked and get it done. I'm sure you will make it

    Hi Bond,

It depends what it is about and whether it could be put to great use on this site also.

Don't just look at Amazon look at where you can place it in front of a target audience that will jump at the chance to get their hands on it.

Bigger doesn't always mean better as people often want something that gives them everything they want and is packed with great information with actionable steps etc.

As I say though it depends on what the product is about and I do not want to put you off or side-track your efforts.

I am glad you are taking action in fact as you have now placed yourself in the top 2% by doing so.

Hope it goes well for you and keep us posted on your results...

All the best and have a fantastic weekend!!!

Amazon is a well trusted source and will definitely attract more buyers than usual for seasonal consumer goods during the Christmas season. What most people like about Amazon is the potential buyer may click on your link to buy a $10 and then buy an item unrelated for $200. 50 pages is not a leaflet, most busy persons do not have time to read 200 page books thoroughly. Do not over analyse, go for it

I would definitely take your time and not rush your project. If, on the other hand, you can have it done in time that would be great. Good luck with it.

150 pages seems like a lot but then again, it's hard to say without knowing what your topic or product is.

150 pages for setting up a mobile business seems alright but is too much for eg. set up your own blog.

Thank you guys your insight into all of this is really helpful.
I wont be rushing it, I wont to deliver top product.
And since I am new to all this it will take time for me to get into all of this. Affiliates, SEO, setting up web page and so on.
I dont plan to sell the book only through Amazon, I will be selling it all over the place. The more exposure it gets the more it will sell, right?!
Although i will not go into the details about the book but my will be the first of a kind in a niche that is so popular and that will grow in years to come.
So, I will not rush it cause I dont think I will manage to do it in 2 months cause I have to do this silly 9-5 stuff
