How much money do you want to make online?

What are your goals?

Do you want to make six figures?

Or just enough to pay the bills and have extra spending money.

start small, and build upon your goals every time you reach success.

me, I started out wanting to make enough just to pay the bills and maybe have extra spending money left over, but my mindset has drastically changed over the years, I am getting a little greedy at this point.

Our goal is not just to have some money to pay our monthly bills. Content Writing 360°'s goal is to increase its overall sales by 30% every quarter of the year.
  • My goal is to be a film director/producer. I know that in the early stages of that career path, you are basically making peanuts or even nothing.

So I want to have the freedom of pursuing that while be able to fall back on internet income.

I'd say a consistent 5-10k a month will do fine for now.
  • One Meeelion Dollars.

My goal is to crawl everyday. I am reading books and even though I am not finishing them as fast as I would like I am finishing them. I am now reading "tested advertising 4th edition". What helps me is when I see this everyday Countdown to New Year 2013 in Dallas
I keep an open window on my laptop it gives me a sense of urgency. I also have some other things I look at motivational wise that i substitute for a boost. One of those things is looking at quote below.

"Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome."-Arthur Ashe

"Sometimes I don't want to go to bed at night because i'm not into dreaming, I want to stay up to make it become a reality." -Eric Thomas

"Dream with your eyes open" when i am reading I am "living" the dream to the best of my ability at that very moment.-theory expert translation

"one of the top 5 regrets of the dying
    1. I wish I had the courage to live a life true to myself..."

Buddy I sure as "heaven" not gonna live someone elses life instead of my own.

    • When I first started out I wanted to make enough to live the life of a beach bum, but now I want to make at least 1 million per year. Might as well reach for the stars.

  • WOOO I love these kinda posts..

    They give me great motivation.

    • I want to make 6 figures per year defo within the next 24 months.
    • I want to do some big JV's with some top affiliates.
    • I want my name to get out as a top marketer.
    • I want to open a coaching program to give back and help other people reach their goals
    and everything in between...
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • These days, you have to be making a heck of a lot to be financially free. At least $6,000 to $7,000 per month minimum for a family of four to live comfortably and be debt free.

    • Yeah you are right..

Or ship off to Thailand for a bit and live like a king for $1500 per month..

    • tell me about it, this is where I use colorful language to describe our economy.
    • If I could reach that amount from online + offline work, I would be more ecstatic than anybody on here could imagine haha. I've only been working for less than a decade but I haven't earned even close to that in a month yet.

I completely agree with this. The only reason why I'm motivated and interested to work as hard as possible at something (a job) or to make as much money as I can... is so that I can travel, see the world, go to live professional sports games and concerts.. haha off topic but anyways, I like this point completely!
  • Enough to become financially independent.

    I'm all in baby

    Are you?
  • My goal is to get to around $10,000 a month. And i'm getting closer and closer every month..

    • I think it's always wise when starting out to begin with realistic goals. This way you wont get overwhelmed by the size of the goal your trying to achieve!

I have passed my online goals originally set out and am now working towards the 10K/Month Group!

Anything is possible you just need to make t=your goals daily, reachable goals and you will succeed!

      All the best,
      Johnny

  • I will be happy with $10,000 per month pure profit from online and offline marketing

    • Yes, me too. Grossing $10,000 isn't all that difficult but netting it is a major accomplishment.

Speaking of profit did you know if you got a 4% interest from $500 million that is only $2 million a month? That isn't even life changing enough!

Man it is rough out here. I dunno if I will ever enjoy life changing money, so, best just to live and let fate handle the rest.

    • Whatever you say you will be happy with, you will always want more once you reach it...unless you change your focus in life. (Coming from experience)

The money is just a means to do XYZ. Free time to do whatever you want to do is priceless.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • We want to make enough to make retirement easier. Our biz is getting better each year and while we are not old enough to retire yet, the time is coming to think about it. We dont need 6 figures, tho it'd be nice. Right now what we make pays some bills, lets us replenish supplies and do some advertising.

    • The amount of money I want to make is enough to not just provide an amazing life for my immediate family... but my extended family as well.

I would love to go to my mother's house, tell her to come outside, and then see her surprised reaction as she get's in her brand new pearl colored Cadillac Escalade that she wants so badly.
  • 10K/month, 90%+ passive. I would be happy with that, as it would take care of all reasonable bills and afford me free time to spend with the people who are close to me.
  • My goal is to have an extra job even though I'm still studying so that I could support my studies. Can anyone help me?thanks in advance!
  • Goal for end of 2013 is to be on track for 1.2 million gross annually with a 560K net
  • Im happy if I can get to 1k a month to start. Once I achieve that, I add a zero to make 10k, then 100k, you get the point. LOL.
  • Currently I make a steady income but I want to earn $10,000 - $20,000 a month.
but its not always good to only think about the money. First I am going to think about my website, building a list in the tens of thousands, then lastly getting paid.
  • I eventually would like to have enough to travel throughout Eastern Europe and then maybe invest the rest of the moneY that I don't need to use. Also, I might stay in Eastern Europe for a while an see if SHTF. But as far as a certain amount, enough for me to live a decent life with quite a bit to save.
  • I need 6 figures to pay the bills . So mid 6's would be my goal. From a business I am open to whether it is offline or online.
  • I don't have a set amount.. My goal is to make every year a better year than the last year. It's all about growth and progress for me!
  • make enough to build a home like this...

    • I make over 100k a year and that's just fine for me.

      Also, automation,

I don't want to make 1 million a year if i have to spend 18 hours a day 7 days a week in the office. I would rather make 100k a year and spend only 1 or 2 days a week in the office.

Most of the people that i meet and those people that come to my workshops just want to make 3 - 5K a month.. or the same amount of money that they are currently making in their day job.

  • what is this mean ?

"Do you want to make six figures? "

    Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • It means at least $100000 per year. The number 100000 has 6 digits (i.e. figures)
  • My Current Goal is to reach the 20k per month mark,
and make ONE MILLION by the age of 25.

    • There is people with a mindset that they can only make a few thousands every month or less, some people sell them self short, i'm guilty of this.

  • I want to make seven figures, I know that's highly unlikely, that's why I am learning everything I can on the subject before diving in headfirst.

    • To stay hopefully on the realistic side of things, a consistent and reliable $5K/month I would be very very happy with.
  • I don't have a figure. Money isn't what drives me at all.

Whilst I am treating this as a business.. if I can't living within my means on £1,500.. then having £10,000 a month won't make a difference. I look around my house, and there are many things that I just DON'T need. The past two months, I have literally been struggling, struggling to find items that I want to buy.. I really don't think I need that much at all. I just enjoy the entire process of achieving goals and improving lives at the same time.

    • While I do need money in order to live, it is kind of the same here. It is more about freedom than the money. If I wanted the money, I would become a hedge fund manager.
  • Just join IM for few months, if i can have 200-400 per month and than hits thousands in a year time, it wil be great
  • I have a part time job at an animal hospital making $7.67 per hour working only 3 days per week. I obviously cannot live off of that. Because there are no other jobs, I created my own job. Using Fiverr and doing other offline jobs I have been able to pay my bills. I have discovered a deep down hidden talent. I now want to take this talent and build on it enough to be able to leave my crummy day job of picking up dog do-do. I have invested some money into a few used books and waiting for them to come in the mail. I plan to learn the material and build up. I also have my own website that I created and it makes me an extra few hundred per month.

    • If I can make enough money to leave my day job then I will be happy. I don't intend on becoming rich, but if I can live a comfortable life, then I'll be happy too.
    • My present goal is to make the surmall.com's rankings become better, It is hard.

  • I find the thrill and excitement of Internet marketing to be one of the biggest drawcards to this kind of work; making money is a useful extra as I already have quite a nice "day job".

That being said, as long as my IM efforts make enough to pay for the occasional holiday, new computer, or cover the bills when I'm short a bit, then I'm happy.

Thankfully, I've already reached that stage!
  • Ideally I'd like to be earning about 1 million dollars a year online at least.
  • My goal is to make $100 a week online, while building several passive income streams.
  • My current goal is to make enough money online which is at least 3k usd monthly. Hence, I can work FULL TIME which allows me to focus entirely on achieving my dreams of having 7 figures yearly.
  • I think the same way you guys do, I would rather make $2,000 a month than $30,000 once.
  • My goal is to make 20k a month.

I think a lot of people would find $20,000 dollars a month pretty insane, but I could potentially make that much with less than 20 customers a month. I feel like it is totally do-able.

I'm really excited to make it happen, the breakthrough for me is around the corner

The reasoning I WANT the money is more important than the number though. I want the number because I want to be totally 100% free for the rest of my life, completely. Ability to go anywhere, do anything, buy anything I want for whoever I want.

    That's the life man.

And the internet moreso than ANY other model... is the vehicle to get there!

  • My goal is to wake up richer, than i was when i fell asleep
  • Let's just say 'a ton.'
  • My goal is not so high for now.... I just want to earn little for the first time and then some more, more and more and so on.
  • I would be very happy with 2k a month. I will live a simple but happy life with that. Any more and it's a bonus. It will stop me being a 9-5 slave.
  • My goal is not making more money, my primary goal is to give value to my customer and grow a list of happy customers who will come back to buy more of what I offer. Do not worry so much about what you'll earn, instead focus on what value you can give to your customers to keep them happy so in return you get more business from them and profits will surely pour in.
  • I think their are no goals for money making most of the people blog for becoming six figure blogger..! and that can be a big milestone many people don't achieve some do and few go over that its just how hard you have worked and how talented you are, SEO is an Art not everyone is able to do that..!
  • I just need 3000 USD. If I can achieve that then I'll set my next goal.

    • My ultimate goal is to double my and my wifes salary.

It needs to be double because we will have to do our own retirement with no matching funds, provide our own insurance, and be able to save a higher percentage of our income for the rainy days of IM

  • This is an interesting thread. Sadly almost all the replies above show what I have studied and know to be true, and that is that hardly anyone has really thought of this important question and just pull massive figures out of the sky hoping that it will be enough to give them the life that they want. I've actually studied this question in depth and interviewed hundreds of people over the last 7 years. As a stock market instructor I would always ask this question when starting so I could put together and appropriate plan to help people achieve their aims.

My (free) book (sig) targets this exact question and provides a formula to calculate exactly how much you need to lead a fantastic life and let me tell you - it's much less than you think. If anyone's interested in knowing the answer but doesn't want to join a list PM me and I'll send you a free copy. 100% of people who have read it say they found the answer they were looking for.

Why is this helpful? It's helpful because once you know how much you want you can put together an appropriate plan to make it happen. A plan to make $1,000,000 a month is going to be different than the plan to make $1,000 a month and different to the plan needed to make $10,000 a month. By knowing the exact answer to this question you will make it much easier. Just hoping (wishing) for "millions and billions" will not get you anywhere fast.
