I have am Amazon niche site set up, I am getting between 2-10 visitors a day, but my bounce rate is pretty high, and I have only made a couple of sales.

I need some advice on getting more traffic. My conversion rate is low, but it isn't awful, I just need to get more visitors. I NEED help with generating traffic, and I am willing to pay for a good IM program that anyone knows of that can help me start getting more sales. Thanks.

Well I don't know what you are doing now for traffic, but I just suggest some way that will help you increasing your traffic.
Do SEO for your site include Social bookmarking, commenting in related blog or site, Related Forum marketing , Article Submission , Creating micro-blog in free blogging platform.
Social media marketing also a good way of traffic. Create a Fanpage in Facebook and add it with a twitter account.Means Tweet your Fanpage post and keep update of twitter in Fanpage.
You can also marketing in YouTube. Create a video on a product review and link back to your site.

I guess I just need more info on how to do the SEO, the videos, etc....I just don't even know where to start...is there like a basic blueprint somewhere? My Goal is $500/month which with 200 visitors a day would be very possible, I figure that is 3-5 sales a day!

      Thanks

As far as keyword research, I have been using Amazon Mind Control, targeting specific products with at least 180-500 global monthly searches, using variations of the product name, and using the word review. If you want to know more my specific site is:

I just took a look at your site. If you're directing traffic (SEO, PPC, etc.) to that site, no wonder your bounce rate is high if you don't have problems driving traffic. There are a lot of distractions on the page that would encourage the reader to leave that page. What is your purpose of the page though? Building an email list and then telling them about the different headphones (or headphone selection process) would be more helpful for the readers, capture more readers into subscribers, and get you much better response rates.

If you're not capturing emails for your list, I don't see how this could be profitable with paid traffic.

The niche is right, and the product is good, all you need is traffic.
What kind of traffic do you need? just a traffic, or traffic of buyer.
Traffic of potential customer came from affiliate advertising. PPC campaign, Google adsense, Google adwords, etc.

Your bounce rate is high because the traffic that is going to your site right now. The visitors was not interested in what you had to offer on the site.

Think of this, if you happen to randomly visit a site that you absolutely have no interests in, what would you do? close it or keep browsing?

I think you deifnitely need to focus on bring in highly target visitors. For Ex: if you offer apples, you don't want visitors who are searching fruits, but searching for apples. Specific keywords targeted visitors. if that makes sense.

You will guaranteed reduce your bounce rate, visitors will spend way longer and conversions will increase, watch the video of a recent case study I've done for one our clients with google analytics from the link below which will show you the bounce rate and visit durations. Hope this helps.

How can I go about collecting email leads? I mean why would people want to give me their email for headphones? Do I offer to send them out news and info on the latest headphones or what?

Look for laser-targeted traffic with high buying intent: keywords where people are actively searching to buy.

For example, instead of "coffee machine specifications" go for "discount coffee machines" - you get the picture.

I would immediately hit my "back" button when landing on that page. It's a wall of text that I have no interest in reading.

Agreed, I would also hit my back button.. or just skim the page quickly for any relevant info. Try to use some info-graphics and only use as much text as absolutely necessary to get your point across.

You should focus on getting more low competition, decent search view keywords and then create content to target the first page of Google for each of those keywords. With enough rankings on the first page you should easily be able to get to your income goal. Sounds like your conversion rate is good on sales. You just need more targeted traffic. Google is great at suggesting tons of other related keywords. Get a list of at least 50 super targeted keywords with low competition, analyze the front page and then start creating the content to land your website on the front page over and over. That will dramatically increase your traffic. Also You Tube videos rank very easily on the front page for low competition keywords. You can do 10 a day of those easy.

Do a video of you reviewing each of the headphones. You can create a video in PowerPoint or Windows Movie Maker. Describe the features, the audio quality, the comfort, etc.. then offer a good balanced conclusion on the product to help the viewer make a buying decision. As they've already typed in the keyword to get to your video, they're already interested in the headphones so you're halfway there already.

            Definitely do the following:
            1. Make a Youtube video.
            2. Set up an email list.
            3. Offer more insightful content.
            4. Cross promote other products.

It's an extremely narrow niche site. Most people may just come to the site looking for information and then immediately click on the back button and try to find the same product in Amazon or Ebay for a better deal.

Why not make your Amazon links into images instead of just text links?
You want people to click on your Amazon links, so you need to make them more prominent on your page.

Maybe you could try setting up a couple targeted social accounts... one targeted towards gamers (they use headphones a lot... WoW player here!) and one targeted towards music or business professionals? Example, posting screenshots and tips for games or whatever and every once in a while a pic of an awesome ear piece and why it's better than another.

Your text is quite small and there is lots of it. To be honest i am interested in in-ear headphones and i found it hard to read.
Break up the text a bit more. As someone said above find some info graphics or pictures.
The review is very "matter of fact" Add some humour or a story into the review. People want to be entertained with the facts. Definitely add a video as well as the text.

I use Shure in-ear headphones they are fantastic. Amazing build quality and superb sound. Check em out! :-)

Try joining groups in facebook and linkedin and spreading the word about your site in those groups. This should bring you some targeted traffic.
