A little confused about building an online business

I have been researching and have purchased quite a few network marketing products since 2008. I have still not really seen any results in several business opportunities I have been in from MLM to affiliate marketing. My market I am looking into is in internet marketing. I have taken a little back-step in my business goals over the past several years. I don't have any products, no list, and I have a low budget. I do have website and several domains, I am wondering what is the best way to start? I am probably confused about leads, and traffic, products, building a list, what to sell or what to promote. As for now have not seen results, but I am more focusing on getting results!

    Decide what type of marketing business you want to start.

    Do you want to find clients who have bricks and mortar businesses and help them by marketing their businesses online - something they have neither the time or expertise to do themselves?

    Do you want to create and sell your own products? If so, what is your area of expertise? What kind of products would you want to sell?

    Do you want to be an affiliate and market other people's products and focus on that route?

    You are doing the right ting in stepping back and putting some thought into this. Ask yourself the right questions to discover where your interest lies

    1. QUIT buying stuff!

    2. Decide what business model you want to use.

    3. Decide what products or services you want to promote.

    4. Then start learning what to do. One step at a time!

    5. Don't try ANYTHING else while you are doing step 4! This is important! Don't bounce around.

    Friend, there is just one thing you need to master - how to get traffic. When you can do that one thing, you can make money.

    So learn how to get traffic to your site. Capture as much of it as you can in an autoresponder. Build a relationship with those people and it will be really difficult for you to not make money.

    Like Rob Whisonant said, pick a business model, stick to it. When you choose the one that works for you (and/or are the most passionate about), then you can start thinking of other ways to monetize it.

    I'd also suggest concentrating on ONE site/business model first so you don't spread yourself too thin and end up overwhelmed and give up. To monetize one site is hard enough.

    Decide any model. If you want an idea - get public domain products , build wordpress website around it , engage audience with blogging,facebook,youtube.

    With business opportunities they are a waste of time

    You need to own your own products and services to have a real business which your in complete control over

    It`s ok to make money with affiliate products and they do have there place but in order to have a water tight business you need your own products and your own list of customers
