Critique my privacy policy!

Would this help you to be comfortable opting in for a free newsletter?

Privacy Policy: Spam sucks, I don't like it any more than you do. I will never sell your e-mail address. Every issue of my newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. I hope you won't decide to use it, but if you do I will not contact you again, and your e-mail address will be removed from my records.
Or, do you think there is anything about it that may reduce conversions somehow?

Also, if this were your privacy policy, would you still be comfortable participating in ad swaps?

Thanks!

While it sounds personal, I'd rather use a standard privacy policy that people often "skip" it so often.

I have a question about spam rules which I don't know its answer really:
imagine that I have a newsletter and one day, a person request me to pay for advertising at the end of my newsletter emails (but he/she don't request me to sell email lists). is this legal in your country?

I really like it and think that you should use it. I don't think that it will reduce or increase your opt in conversions at all.

It would help, but where you have the word "sell", I wouldn't mind seeing something a little more inclusive like "sell, rent, give away or otherwise disclose".

Or just "We will never share your email address with anyone", might do?

I'm no lawyer, but I'd guess it isn't illegal anywhere.

You might get some "unsubscriptions", though, if you do it. It would certainly put me off, as a subscriber, and I'd start asking myself whether this is really a mailing-list I need to stay on, if its owner is using it to make money by selling advertising space in what he's sending me.
