Look for tips on how to revive my email list

Hey warriors, I have 496 people on a few emailing lists, but I have not sent them any emails in about months.

I'm looking for some tips on how I can revive these list or should I just start over building a new list.?

Here is the break down of my list:
124 Buyers
372 Freebie Seekers

Ideally I would love make $100 -200 a month from these list. I'm looking forward to your feedback.

Contest time! People want free stuff right? Make them work for you. Right off the bat you could have an article competition. Have them write about your niche and the top 3 get a prize! They give you fantastic content, and they get the prize they want.

And since a lot of them should participate, your list will be active again!

    Hey Chris,

We met at BlogWorld in NYC this past June.

You have to create a re-engagement email strategy. Not sure exactly what the niche is, but you need to start conditioning them to take action again. Start small then work your way to larger requests.

PM me, so we can chat more about it. The more info I have the more I can tailor my advice to your situation.

Build relationship with your list by sending them email marketing contain of articles or info that related to the niche. By the time, you also can start selling stuffs by offering them some affiliate products or your own products.

You also need to build more list by giving a free products to get new subscribers into your list.

    Cheers,
    Bizamanda

Make the first e-mail an apology and explain what you've been doing for the last couple of months.

As you already have buyers, give them something of value with a direct link to download it.

Now you just need to go back and repeat the process that build the list in the first place, but remember to use the broadcast button a little bit more to build up the relationship.

The most common problem which i hear all the time is what you are saying as well

That is owning a responsive email list

The key is to build good trust and credibility by making sure that the stuff you create and release is top quality stuff

This applies to free and paid stuff

When people start to realize that you give out good stuff you would of then gained a bit more trust and a lot more credibility so when you send emails to them they will be much more interested to read your stuff or listen to what you have to say

If you already have a list which your looking to revive then you need to create something of high quality for them for free and go from there

Rather than think how to revive your list you should be focusing more on how not to let your list die and become un responsive

Start getting into a routine where you send regular emails

You need to condition your list so that they expect to get an email off of you on a regular basis otherwise you will end up being the

"who the hell is this guy" person

Send out an apology and a free high quality peace offering. Track open rates and continue to send the message with a different headline to the ones that didn't open.

I've had a same situation with one of my small double opt-in lists (300+) in the past. What I did was to start sending a short series of pure content that is helpful and "actionable" (easy to implement).

I knew the majority of them on that list are newbies so it was quite easy to come up with a few tips and tricks including a couple of PDFs and videos to share with them (some from my own knowledge, some others are from quick research)...

I think I sent out about 7-8 emails over 2 weeks or so to warm uo the list again then started some promotional email campaigns (aff offers etc..) and yes, I made some profit in the end

Give lots of free content now.. for like 1 month at least once per week..

Get in front of the camera or give them screen recorded videos so that they get to know your voice. This will help to build your brand.

Do an adswap.. this should add 10-20% to your list.

Then give them a promo or create a very cheap product and promote it to them.
