MISSION: $500 Within One Week on Bite-Sized Budget...

Hey guys...how are ya?

Ok...our MISSION...if you choose to accept :

I'm looking to soak up the very best internet marketing knowledge and advice to generate about $500.00+. The goal is to have that amount placed in my bank account within one week and to do so by primarily utilizing free internet marketing methods. I have a super minimal budget of about $50-$75 at most...but preferably let's make it happen with $0!

What are the quickest, most cost-effective (in terms of time + money + energy) internet wealth building strategies that I can implement to ensure a deposit of $500 in my bank account within one week?

To give you a quick background, I'm a recent college grad and an entrepreneur at heart. I've decided a few months after graduating that I'm going to commit and dive into my entrepreneurial ventures right away instead of taking a position with a company I'm not fully on board with and passionate about.

I've been studying Internet Marketing for a little over 2 months but haven't broken through just yet. I'm absolutely certain that I will do big things in this industry--I won't stop until I do...however, I need some expert guidance and a push in the right direction to establish momentum and get things rollin'.

I'm getting very impatient with the minute progress I've made and at the moment do not have an additional source of income so I absolutely MUST make it happen NOW!

So if you would be awesome enough to go out of your way to help me complete this MISSION I will be extremely grateful. I'd also be more than happy to provide raving testimonials for suggestions that I have success with as well as other ways to repay your generosity.

Thanks so much for you help!

I greatly appreciate any suggestions and advice you may have!

Talk soon!

-Anthony

Hi Anthony, last year I finished University in the UK and was in the exact same position.

Because of your post count and relative inexperience, I will assume you are fairly new to this. I say this to let you know I am not trying to patronise you in anyway in my response to you.

Firstly, you haven't given us any background about yourself, and you haven't mentioned any business models which you think would fit your personality or aptitude. Ultimately, the only person who can give you guidance on this, is YOU! You know what you are capable, what you like and don't like, and thus how you make money falls to you.

With that said, here is what I did and how I went about aking money from the same position as you.

I got a domain and hosting. Domain name from godaddy and the hosting from hostagtor. I used fantastico ( a little smiley face at the bottom of your cpanel) to setup a wordpress blog. I found a nice looking professional wordpress theme and voila, very quickly I had a website.

I had decided in advance of this that the fastest way to make money online, with little experience or knowledge in the field was just to do crap stuff other people didn't like doing or didn't have the time to do. I became a freelance writer, and charged a reasonably competitive price (I charged on average 5 dollars an article). I also included other services such as setting up webpages, websites, making videos and audios. These services were slightly more expensive but I did get some orders from people.

    **** Important to Consider ****

Content creation is not the most glamerous of ways to make money online and isn't necessarily the easiest. So why do it? Quite often, people don't ever see the real potential in offering this kind of service and its important to not think of it as a money-getting exercise, but more of a contact-getting exercise. Heres what I mean:

If you are writing articles and creating content for people and on top of that your rates are fair and work is good, then you're going to build a good relationship with your client. Having done some quality research and content creation for them, 9 months down the line when you might want to release a product in their niche, do you think it would be easier to get them to promote for you, compared with a marketer who doesn't know you at all? Of course its easier. Building business is about building relationships ( as I am sure you know) and this is a great way to get your foot on the ladder.

It also gives you a holistic view of Internet business and gets you a lot of experience in different markets, allowing you to cherry pick which markets/niches appeal to you when you decide to launch your own venture.

    Marketing...

I got my business from the forum and twitter. I had contributed to the community already with posts and threads previously and had collected some twitter contacts from various threads in the forum sharing twitter contact details. Soon after, warriors started adding me without me adding them. I put a link to my site in my twitter profile and a link to my site in my signature link.

On my site I just advertised my services. To start off with though, I ran a couple of "specials" via Twitter and on my website, saying the first couple of orders would be free. The offer was snapped up immediately and I did some free work, got some testiomonials and began building my business.

Very quickly I secured bigger contracts which were earning me hundreds of dollars a week and I used that cash to setup other websites outside of freelancing.

    USP
I tried to position myself in the market with a USP.

I focussed on the fact I was accessible, would provide skype details, email details and a phone number on request if people wanted it so they could get fast access to me. I sold my level of customer service as a benefit because at the time a lot of warriors had been ripped off by other article writers and I wanted them to know, just becasue I was new to the industry, did not mean I was going to take the money and run.

It was the fastest money I made, it was a big learning curve and gave me a little book of useful contacts. You certainly can make 500 dollars in a week doing it, especially if you apply the technique in digitalpoint as well. Its not the sexiest way to make money, but it does work, and often the long-term benefits of starting out like this online are over-looked.

I hope this helps you in your journey to financial independance.

Hey...thanks so much for the reply...you're right I should have given a lil' more background...

I consider myself a skilled writer and I enjoy the process when it comes to my interests so your ideas might be a good fit there...

      My interests include personal/human development + fitness/health + entrepreneurial activitities + adventure.....

I have a strong background in personal/human development and health/fitness and I've actually written a short personal development ebook which I'm probably going to promote very soon...

Based on that...any additional advice especially when it comes to promoting the ebook?

Let me be honest with you, here, brother. I tend to be very blunt but only about 2% of the populace are weenies who can't handle it and they know who they are... but here it is...

Most people who know how to make $500 in one week are not going to tell you how to do it. Why would they want to give up their golden goose... their cash cow?

Honestly, do you see any of the accomplished marketers hanging out here?

And even if someone, like myself, DID share a technique for making $500 by next week, with 118k people here, do you think it would last long? Might it cause an avalanche that creates mayhem on the net, instead?

And, also, if someone DID give out such a secret, do you think the powers-that-be would let it stay? After all, in each persons signature file is their attempt to make money from selling you such secrets. How do you think they would like it if someone came in and made the bulk of their products unnecessary for you to buy.

Seriously, I'm telling it to you as bluntly as possible...

    Sam

Let me be honest with you brother...

There's gotta be methods out there that can produce the results I'm looking for within that period of time (I just haven't found them just yet/and actually have exhausted some resources that can produce those results)--so it seems as if your mindset is pretty limited...

And in response to creating "mayhem on the net" by revealing strategies to accomplish these objectives...isn't there such a thing as Private Messages?

I'm just trying to tell you as bluntly as possible

I totally respect your opinion Sam, but I will take issue with it.

I don't know what secret you are refering to?

Let me give you a little background and some full disclosure:

I actually am in a full time job at the moment doing affiliate management and seo for an internet marketing company, which is in the top 1% of clickbank publishers and affiliates.

On the side, I do some consultancy and niche blogging. Before I got this job, I made my money using some affiliate marketing (full disclosure again, I wasn't amazing at it, but pulled some sales) and I did a lot of content creation. This got me onto bigger projects and I met a lot of interesting people.

When I got this job, I came here hoping to learn the "secrets" of Internet marketing. I was both relieved and disappointed that actually there was no "secret" and in fact all of the systems for making money online are freely available in th public domain. I find your suggestion that there is some secret systems online business people are using baffling.

Now knowing these business models and systems is all well and good, you're only going to make money from them if you have the skill sets and right attitude to actually go and implement them.

On another note, there are some fantastic business people and marketers on this website that give away a ton of information for free and help many new people with their online effort. In fact the generosity of the Warrior Forum is such a special place. I am then moved to ask, why if you have such a jaded opinion of it, do you log in to the forum? You seem un-willing to impart advice here, and you seem to challenge the fundamentals of the forum as well. I am not spoiling for an argument, jut curious to where you are coming from.

I'll be honest, I have been involved with products that are ebooks in this company but I myself have not personally created and distributed my own.

I would strongly recommend using clickbank.com as a publisher.

Possibly spend a few bucks on advertising at the clickbanksuccessforum.com (I think it will be within your budget) announce your product in the JV section of this forum, get some articles written, do some youtube videos etc and get them pointing back to your salespage for some backlinks and traffic.

If by "here" you mean Warrior Forums, yes, Sam, I do!

I'd consider people like Frank Kern, Marlon Sanders, and Harlan Kilstein, to be accomplished marketers... wouldn't you?

If by "here" you mean this particular thread, I don't see them here... I imagine they're likely tired of seeing the same beginner questions, and instead are on the forum to share their expertise with their peers, likely prospects, and others who have something interesting or fun to add to their lives.

But I think it's important to not underestimate the depth of expertise shared on the Warrior Forums.

    Regards,
    Allen

Add to this Jason Moffat, Willie Crawford, John Reese...the list goes on.

Do they hang out here ALL the time? Of course not. (Who does?) Since they've got actual online businesses to run, they can't be sitting there staring at the Warrior Forum all day long, eh?

But, yes, there really are established marketers who are members of the Warrior Forum and hop in here now and again to educate us about certain things.

As for the OP, a one week time frame is really cutting it short. You can put $500+ in your bank account by doing a Joint Venture (JV) with an established marketer, but you must already have a viable product and someone who wants to JV with you at the beginning of that week.

Other than that, everything else I can think of won't do it in just one week. Sorry.

Maybe run three-day auctions on eBay?

Surveys won't put money in your bank account in a week. But you can make a bit of money doing "surveys" (I put quotation marks around it because most are not surveys, but offers you must sign up for before you can get paid.)

I've gone to "survey" sites such as http://www.surveysaavy.com , http://www.surveymonster.net , http://www.tiktikcash.com , http://www.cashcow4me.com , http://www.pandaresearch.com , http://www.vivaresearch.com , and http://www.searchcactus.com and signed up. Then, using a prepaid debit card, I look for offers that have at least a seven-day trial, no shorter, and check the terms and conditions for a phone number to call to cancel before the end of the trial period. (Most "survey sites" still pay you even though you cancelled the offers you signed up for.)

I write everything down, what I signed up for, what it pays, how to cancel, the date I must cancel by, etc. so I don't forget and end up actually buying an offer.

You'll find that many of these offers pay out $20 and more just for signing up, even though you cancel within the trial period.

When you call to cancel, they always try to get you to keep going with the offer. They have their tricks. How do I get around that? I tell them my 13-year-old son took my credit card and signed up for a bunch of stuff and now I have to cancel everything. I am so angry! It works every time.

I actually got a check in the mail for more than $200 from one of the above-mentioned companies. Came out to about $50 an hour for the time it took me.

But like I said, it won't pay you anything in just one week.

I've come across some survey companies recently and have applied to many of them but haven't received any survey offers above $1 or so...

Have any suggestions as to the best survey opportunities? And if they might be a misuse of time in comparison to other methods of building quick income...?

    Thanks

    Star69...thanks...

Yep...I've actually discovered that most "survey" co.'s aren't what they appear to be as you've said.

I did complete some offers like this that I was interested in and had the amounts deposited in my account within 3 days so you can do it in one week however, I've exhausted most opportunities concerning those offers...

    Thanks again

I am going to kind of echo what a lot of others are saying on here. I make WELL over $500 a week online, but I didn't do it in a week, I did it in about 4-5 years. It takes awhile to learn from your mistakes and come up with good ideas. I constantly build new websites and I have a few popular ones but usually I keep 1 out of every 5 I develop and sell the rest off to barely break even on them. It is like any other business you will win some and lose some with investments. As far as making $500 a week that is not a lot of money in the real world but for someone just starting out online it will be very tough to make. I would recommend using some skills you have doing freelance work as that would probably be the easiest way, but if someone could tell you how to make $500 on a blog or other website in your first week starting from nothing then I have a job for them.
