What is the best way to solve the broken links of a WordPress site?

Hi,

Recently I found a website with hunreds of 404 error, I used google wbemaster tool and found that there are 856 not found pages. Is there a quick fix to solve this?

    Off the top of my head, one plugin I can think of is WordPress › Broken Link Checker « WordPress Plugins I know there are others, but I forget their names. If that's not what you're looking for, then do a search on the WordPress Plugin Directory and I'm sure you'll be able to find something.

      I second "Broken Link Checker" I have used it and it slowly scans all of the links on your site and gives you the opportunity to check and repair each one or remove the link.

      It runs quietly in the background.

    Hard to believe that. It is quire shocking news to me. You can solve this problem easily. But for that reason you need to bear some cost.
