$15 Millions Per Year From Selling Garbage

Garbage mogul: TerraCycle's plan to make millions from trash - Mar. 25, 2009

I'm surprised they can sell $15 millions per year during this recession.

Maybe we can adopt the business model, sure we can make even a lot more money if all Warriors in this forum build the same business model together

    Well Razer,

I just want to show the possibility outside IM niche, sure the article is not about internet marketing.

But a lot of people have struggled to make money from Internet Marketing, while there are other fields where they can make a lot more money.

I don't get any benefits from sharing the article, it's CNN article

$3.5 million deficit in 2008. Szaky has since shifted ReTote production to Mexico, and he projects a $1 million profit for 2009 - assuming that TerraCycle can survive until the end of the year.
If it gets into profit, it may earn millions. They seem to have discovered "outsourcing".

    It reminds me several things,

With a brilliant business model built around recycling, TerraCycle will either go big or go broke.
A lot of successful businessman, or even several marketers that have made millions of dollars in this forum, have reached a phase "make it big or broke" before they make a big hit.

The willingness to risk everything, has force any human to show up his/her "hidden" capabilities. Take a look at Donald Trump.

Speaking about outsourcing, I heard a story about one businessman that buy used material such as Coca Cola can from Thailand, Vietnam and sell it to China. He has made $30,000 per month just taking and dropping the used materials,

I read stuff like this and get mad all over again that I wasn't the one who thought about it! My very favorite, though is *Welcome to nycgarbage.com* novel way to dispose of an unending supply of nyc garbola, I say.

It amazes me how smart people can do such stupid things, such as taking Target bags and making them into a better product called Re-Tote, sold in Target stores for $5.99, but then having them made at a cost of $20 each! What sense does that make?!

Looks like his main problem is he didn't plan on nearly enough operating capital to make it through to profitability. Selling at a loss is just stupid.

Like I said, smart people making bonehead moves.
