Geo Targetting A Hyperlink
I'm in the process of putting together a blog curve prior to a prelaunch of my long forgotten site. Procrasstination is a real bind.
As Im filling out the blogs and tidying them up, prior to sending them out there, I had this idea.
Ive integrated (and still working on it) Mingle forum into my wordpress site.
Obviously I want people who have visited the site, to join in whatever 'conversation' that my happen. As I have IM Wealth Builders geo targetting plug in. and was hyperlinking the text to link to the 'forum' or discussion board I thought...
I wonder if this plug in could intrique visitors to the blog to actually go to the boards. So...when creating the hyperlink (it allows you to put in a description so when the cursor hovers over the hyperlink) I put in the country shortcode and typed variants of 'A member from...(shortcode) just visited', or Someone from...(shortcode) may have joined the discussion.
On the front end, the hover message does show the city of the shortcode.
Im thinking that this may further entice viewers to go to the 'forum' boards.
Ive only done this on 4 posts so as not to have overkill.
Just posting this in case no one has thought of it and may find it useful.
