Cartoon and Animation Video creators - Please Help

Hi guys and girls. I am starting a project that would lend itself to animated/cartoon videos.
In fact this medium would be just about perfect for it, if I can find a way of making numerous videos quickly and easily.

I have looked at GoAnimate and Xtranormal and find the examples somewhat amateur. (I looked at Mixit too but that is only avaliable in the US. I am in the UK)
Is there a product out there that would allow text to animation video with decent results?

Some examples of what you have achieved would be great too.

Thanks KenJ

Do you have any examples of what you have in mind?

If you are going to use a tool to create large number of videos fairly quickly, you might have to be a little flexible on quality. You said Go Animate is a little amateurish for your need, that made me curious what quality you are looking for.

      Thank you for your reply.

I have not seen what i am looking for exactly. I am hoping it exists somewhere.

What I am looking for is a voice to camera type video with the voice presented as a cartoon character. If you remember the MAD magazine guy then I am looking for a video/animated version of him.
All I want to do is type in the words and hopefully the "voice to camera" will come out as an animated video.

You can give Crazy Talk a try...although you will need to do a little more than just "type", you'll need to tell the program where the eyes, nose and mouth are...

          Thanks Kurt

That is exactly what I was looking for. The only trouble is I will have to buy a mac to run it on. (It's not a problem)

PS...The one problem with Crazy Talk is that it uses system voices. At this time, Win 7 only has a single (female) voice installed. This problem isn't limited to just Crazy Talk, but rather any text to speech program running in Windows 7.

You can install Crazy Talk on an older machine or use something like VMWare with Windows XP installed to get more system voices.

You can use an online text to speech tool, download it and import it into CrazyTalk.

Another option is to record an audio of your voice and import it into CrazyTalk.

I will have to do that as I want a male voice. Thanks for the info.

If you try to automate your process then you have to do little compromise with quality, I would rather recommend you to hire some freelancer

IMO, it's the Goanimate license/TOS that eliminates using it and not the quality. Anyone considering Goanimate needs to read the license, as it's not very friendly.

I agree that goanimate license is a bit limiting . It feels like they are covering their own back rather than their users. They need to negotiate better with the sources they use.

I don't think this is what you are looking for, but I'm going to post it just in case it might be of interest for future projects. The iPad has some interesting possibilities:
