Amazon - Find out what people are clicking on, even though not ordered

One way you can see which item links people are clicking on, you can go to your Orders Report and then click the down arrow on items with no orders - show all items. It will then list
the rest of the items that were looked at but not ordered.

There may be a few of those that are put in the shopping cart for later. That happens to me every once in a while. An order shows up without any clicks listed to Amazon for that day on that item.

I had never thought about them purchasing the items later. This is a great way to look at those clicks that do not result in sales.

I have often looked at the non sale clicks to see what people are shopping for and decide if I need to write a new article about that product. It has helped me to find some profitable items in the past.

If I see a number of times that something is clicked on but not bought, I start looking over my copy to see what I can change. I usually start with the call to action at the end.

I have one particular review that eludes me right now. I just can't seem to get much conversion with it. But if they go over to Amazon like they do, I know some of them will be looking at other things as well.

That is a great tip, many thanks for sharing. It seems just logical to try and tweak the reviews of non converting products especially if they had been looked at plenty of times. Thanks agian

    Cool tip.

Additionally, you can look at the stats of the post if you are using Google analytics to see the rate of views and clicks against sales and non sales and see if it is really your call to action, lack of traffic or just a badly written review.

If you are only getting 5 views to the page total and one non buying click, nothing t worry about. But hundreds of views, lots of clicks and no sales, you know you've got a problem.

Great way to track what posts specifically need to be looked over.

Thanks for clarifying that. Yes, a person would look for lots of clicks and no sales.

It is great to take a look at the end of the month at the totals. This really helps see where traffic is coming through but not buying.
