Do you have to offer a money back guarantee for a digital download WSO??

What are your thoughts & feedback..would love to hear from people who have implemented both scenarios & how the product sales turned out. I know there's some serial refunders out there that like to download products and then request refunds, but i would think this hurts the seller, cause they have no way of getting the product back...

You do not need to offer a MBG. There's no "rule" on the WF saying you need to. It is totally up to you. But I'd strongly suggest if you are launching your first product, or the product exceeds say $17, a guarantee is going to really help.

If you are already established, then it's easier to not offer one.

But if you are trying to sell, and not offering a guarantee would cause friction and cause people not to buy, and you believe in your product whole heartedly, why not offer one? At least a minimum of a week or something?

Personally, I give no questions asked guarantees on everything.

2 schools on thought on this one.

As Street has said - there are many reasons to offer a MBG and newness to the forum is one of them and lack of track record etc.

There are also reasons NOT to offer them. You have a history of overdelivery and your products have always been well received and are top notch instuctional programs. By offering NO MBG, you are telling the serial refunders to get lost and to stay away, which can greatly reduce your service and support time.

    Just depends.

My WSO only gives people 7 days. The truth is that my product works, and the people who buy it better try and use it before the 7 days are up. Anyways, it all really depends on your track record and how many people can vouch for your WSOs.

    Good luck!

If you don't include a guarantee, you won't get as many sales.

If you include a guarantee, you will get more sales and possibly a few refunds. The extra sales will outweigh the refunds anyway.

Most people tend to support this as the truth, but it is just a theory... It is simply the theory most people prefer to recommend.

The only rule regarding the Money Back Guarantee at the forum is that if you offer one, you honor it explicitly.

There is no rule or obligation as such to offer a guarantee but if you do, you must honor it.
