Amazon Sites, How Many Do You Have?

With all of this talk about Amazon, I was wondering if you have any Amazon sites and even what products you sell. (if you want to tell everyone)

I have one that sell Handbags and BBQ items.

Too many, lol! Actually, after doing way too much and understanding the results, I think the very best way to deal with an Amazon site is to keep working on one large enough site to gain traction in the SERPs and keep working on that one site until you start to see some cash.
Once it is stable, then move on to another.

I started out with 10 at one go. All niche sites. Doing SEO was a pain because I was always jumping back and forth. Even now I still have around 35. So now I am just weeding through and building out the ones that are the best performers and concentrating on those only. I want to trim it down to something like 10 core sites.

I won't delete the old ones or anything. But I also won't put any more time into them. And I do suggest having more than just one big site, just in case it gets slapped, hacked or some other crazy thing happens. Just keep them "controlable". It makes no sense to have a ton of sites that aren't ranking or generating cash just to "have" a bunch of sites. Like I did at first.

I own 10 or so. Three or four are my main sites that I "really" pay attention to. The others are secondary on my list of importance.

Currently I have about 720 and adding new ones every month or two. Most of them are stand-alone sites for promoting specialized products. Here's a list of some of my favorite niches.

Outsourcing? Or maybe it's his fulltime job, but indeed, 720 sites would be too much for me to handle.

Been doing this for a very long time, and almost all of the work is delegated.

I started out with one fishing site, worked on it for awhile. Than had a second Amazon site built, a camera site but never really focused on it. I had a third one built last year but scrapped it recently. I have also posted links to other sites I own but they are not review sites. I view my Amazon sites more of a hobby than a business .

Last week I started to focus back on the first site. Eventually I will over haul the idea of this site and point it in a different direction. I will consider building a few more Amazon sites in the future. Right now I have too many non Amazon sites that need my full attention.

I just started like 6 months ago with the Amazon affiliate program. I have a comparison website about an electronic product. I am affliating the different brands of the product in my articles and it sells reasonable.
Don't sell a lot of different products on one website, just put the focus on one product and give the visitors a lot of quality information.

I only have three. I find it tedious looking up amazon products, writing about them, and formatting the posts, so they are also on my "most neglected websites list". My best performing one focuses on gift ideas, but it only does well 1-2 months a year.

About 15. But 12 of those are micro niche sites that I left alone for a long time.

I have 3 that are growing day by day and getting real nice traction in the search results and making a nice income. All 3 sites contain multiple product categories.

About 30 sites, but they were affected by Penguin and also the EMD update so I intend to let the domains expire then put the content on just one domain. At least the yearly domains fees would be much lower.

Only one. I love to focus. Plus I'm using PPC, SEO, and list building, so I'm not worried about 'getting wiped out.'

What PPC network are you using? I've only heard of people use AdWords and AdCenter for Amazon. Though AdWords sounds like a real headache, you need minimum affiliate links, etc.. to run an ad plus they're quite expensive.

    Hi,

What Wanda and Paula two prof.amazon affiliates says, they have only one big single page website ,(please correct meif Im wrong).

So all of the prof. amazon affiliates here, do you have a website with 10 pages, lets say 10 pages with
camcorder reviews (example) or only 1 single page with emd domain with a very long more than 800 words product review and a product who costs over 500$ on amazon?????

What kinds of these both website models you have?

Or are the website users to smart today, it means that, that you promote on a 1 single webpage a high
price item like a smartphone for 990$, you get an high ctr,but the website users don't buy theese high priced smartphone, they buy one of theese "related items" who amazon shows on his product site who are very lesser in price????
That is a risk, yes you get comission all of that what your website user buy on amazon, but when they buy a lesser electronic product like your smartphone, you will not make huge money.

I don't think Wanda and Paula have one site as that would be putting too many chocolate eggs in one basket.

Having 1 single page with an EMD is a bad idea now with the latest EMD update from Google. It wasn't a good idea even before because it means your domain costs are high if you review one product per domain.

There is always a chance a visitor could buy a cheaper item, but expensive items are always in demand because they are priced that high because they offer superior features, quality, etc.. than cheaper products.

I have two. I think that it is quite easy to handle one or two instead of too many. That would help you to concentrate more and generate more income.

Do have niches which are totally unrelated on the same site? If so, have you found that the posts rank any worser in Google opposed to having a seperate domain for each niche?

I have five. I'm passionate about all five of them because they are niches I enjoy. I don't work on them super often but they still bring in a bit of money as needed.

I only have two so far and both of them are kitchen related appliances. I plan to make many more, I've just been more focused on other websites and projects.

It's funny because the first websites/marketing I basically did were those two sites. I lost a little interest because I just got so intimidated with the whole seo & traffic ordeal. Now, much longer down the road, it's a different story so I'll have to get back on those when I have the time. They were fun to work on, as strange as that may sound!
