how do I get google .com from Australia??

Hi, On Google UK there's a link at the bottom of the page that says "Go to Google.com" that works for me. Do you have the same?

thank you - on the page that shows up when I use the google toolbar that link wasnt available - after a little searching i found a page where that shows up and it's doing the job. It wasn't what i was looking for - but certainly fills the need right now, so thanks heaps!

It was most certainly not a dumb question. A while ago I was going in circles trying to work this out myself. I eventually got around it by typing USA after sites I wanted to search. Hopefully the tools mentioned above will help me as well.

Sign in and set your preferences to Google.com (click on "preferences" on the main page or SERP). It should then come up for you every time as long as you're signed in and/or your cookie is set for your prefs.

There is a firefox extension that lets you look at the major Google sites by right clciking and choosing the one you want.

You can also add your own.

Easiest way for me was to set my homepage as http://www.google.com/ncr (this sets a 'no country redirect' cookie in the browser). You can unset the cookie by clicking the link underneath the search box at google.com to get your country's Google search).

Yes, setting your homepage to this works 99% of the time:

" http://www.google.com/ncr "
