Offline Salesletter or Squeeze page? HELP!?!

I have a little bit of a dilemma and need some advice fellow warriors:

I own a baseball training center and have just got a killer salesletter written which is actually converting extremely well. The little leagues around here are all starting up so I figured I could hire someone to pass out flyers at all of the little leagues...here is my problem..!

Do I have them hand out my salesletter or a page that is like an offline squeeze page that says go to my website and get 6 free online baseball tutorial video's ($97 value) free by entering your email?

The tricky part for me is this...i know emails are much more valuable as I can keep sending them stuff so they think of my business and convert and I can also send them the salesletter online anyway...but with my salesletter if they read it, they are going to me much more compelled to actually go to the website and take a call to action (schedule a lesson).

With the free video's "bribe" go to my website and enter your email, i feel like they will forget and not go straight home and go to the site...so I am not sure which one would be more beneficial...

Any insight would be great. Thanks everyone!

Why not offer a 30 minute free session every Saturday and pick a different location every time. Pass out packages at the sessions to the kids parents. This way they can see how you interact with children and that you really know your stuff...

That's what I would do... I have coached soccer for 5 years now and if I were going to run a soccer camp I would offer a free 1 hour session on a Saturday and give parents a package they can take home to look at. In this package would be an order form to a private website were they can get training videos as well as attend my 2 week soccer boot camp.

In the summer kids have nothing to do and if you offered training camps during the day it would seem a no-brainer for parents to sign up for instead of day care because the soccer camp I would run would be for ages 8 - 12. At that age they are a little too old for regular day care but a bit too young to stay home alone all day.

Then I'd have the weekends left to offer mini-training camps for the younger ages (their attention span is a little lower at that age so having shorter sessions would be better).

PS. To get things rolling I would see if the local associations could help spread the word for a small commission per sale. Use their database to put you in direct connection with your market.

Here's my advice and likely to be more efficient.

Find a list of your local city from SRDS or InfoUSA and send your offer to them. This can save you more money than hiring someone.

Use a postcard service like amazingmail.com to do it for you. You can send as low as one postcard.

Use a domain name that's easy to remember like AmazingBaseballVideos.com or something. TheAlamoAcademy is fine but I'm sure you can find more catchy domain.

Use that domain just for your squeeze page.

Include a sample clip in your squeeze page to increase their appetite.

You can also do a joint venture with the organizers so they can promote you.

Lastly, change your squeeze page. There are a lot of things to improve on.

Manual distribution of flyers will be the last thing I'll consider.

    Hey Coach,

I think Mike had a great idea. I would definitely do something along those lines - 30 minutes or even an hour of your time every weekend for a month or so at different locations.

    But I'd also do this:

When handing out the flyer, along with your free coaching session, also reserve an area that points to your online offer. Put it towards the bottom, and perhaps in a different color to make it stand out (I know color flyers get more expensive, though).

At the top of the flyer, be sure to include the word "FREE" in all caps, as well as down towards where you point out the 6 FREE videos. Skimmers will catch the word free.

If you use any subheaders or if the flyer gets lengthy, use bolded statements and put points (the story) in order so that skimmers catch a glimpse of what you're offering.

I used to be a decorative concrete contractor and tested this on the same neighborhood of about 600 affluent homes early last year. The half with the "organized" IM version sold about twice as much as the other "unorganized" letter.

ALSO - fix the website... center it up and consider creating an attractive baseball style header that brands you as being professional. PM me if you need help with this.

    Best of luck,
