Are you outsourcing??

We went through the same problem in the beginning. We found out that we were spending way too much time on stuff that we didn't want to do or stuff that we weren't the best at. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you are efficient at doing it!

I second this quote. If you can afford to outsource, do it. Outsource the tedious tasks that are a time suck.

If you need to take a break, do so and refuel your tanks.

Refocus and then get back to work.

Maybe what you need is not inspiration or motivation - but organization and better time management.

Look at how you are spending those hours and see if you can reinvest your earnings to outsource some of the work. That would free up time for new projects - or for life.

Don't give up.

What are you doing that is taking up so much time? Focus on a sales business model that builds either residual income or builds high profit margin income using paid advertising methods.

I use to slave away a crapload of my time for tiny checks, it sucked. Been there.

Don't give up. Internet marketing is the coolest model to live the life you want.

Simple yet effective, Focus, Learn, Build, Create, Innovate, none of this is possible until you decide that your ready to finally put aside what has not worked and embrace what can work.

The word Motivation has a root in the Latin word, Motus which means to move.

Once you decide to move anything is possible, you can attend every Seminar, Webinar, read every Ebook buy every product on the market, but until you find out what really makes it all happen you will never be as successful as you hope to become.

The reason for this is so simple that you will wonder why you never realized it before, you cannot be Motivated, (you can be excited into being Motivated) (to move or to produce movement) but until your see the real factor in Motivated success, you will lose interest and find other things to occupy your time.

The one thing, in fact the only thing that matters is in the Latin root words.

True Motivation comes from within, when you see that and when you realize that, then you can take the steps to produce the success you want and need...

When I feel demotivated of something, I will take some hours off...have some fun and read/hear motivational book/cd like Tony Robbins or anything else...it's always put me back on track...

I'm with Bizamanda on this. It seems that you wear yourself out.

Just take some time off during the day, spend time with your family (and most importantly spend some quality time for yourself - do something you love to do every day) and then come back stronger the next morning.

How do you plan on drying yourself off after showers? I would advise against that!

No seriously, I agree there is lots of motivational material from the Rocky movies. I also love that song, "No easy way out." Also the scene with Rock and Adrian on the Beach in Rocky 3 gets be going as well.

Hey man, don't give up now, there are lot of exciting things going on in the online business. There are so many legit opportunity out that I have come across in the pass years. I am so happy to wake up everyday just to get online. The first thing I do in the morning after a meditation is getting on my laptop, and I have been doing that for some time now. I have some promising Program that keep my head spinning with joy so i keep motivated.

I think you just need a break. Go travel and take a few days vacation. I've tried it and it worked. Every time I feel down and demotivated to work, I check out for low fares and get some time off. Aside from discovering wonderful places, you get to meet new people and learn a lot from different cultures.

I have thought about quitting so many times. When I was first getting started, I barely made any money and I made a lot of mistakes. Eventually I started to make some real money and all my hard work started to pay off. I went from working really hard and making no money to not working at all and earning a decent amount.

While I've done really well in years past, this year has been harder. Google alogorithm changes made a lot of my sites lose traffic. My adsense earnings dropped by $500. I hired a SEO company that ended up sabotaging all my hard work even more.

Here's what kept me from quitting:

Consolidated My Portfolio of Sites: I went from owning almost 70 websites to 32. I still have some consolidating to do. I sold some, merged a few, others I just plain outright abandoned. This helped me focus on what really mattered most. Before I would create websites on whatever keywords were the best, now I focus on what I actually am interested in.

Changed My Business Plan: I no longer rely on just adsense anymore, I now also sell digital products. This helped bridge the gap between my lost adsense earnings. I also changed how I marketed my websites, relying less and less on SEO and instead focus on building up fans and followers who would promote my content for me

Turn Off the Computer: I can't stress how important it is to get away from the computer. I spend about 3 hours a day online working, and I sometimes feel like even that is too much. Get some exercise, go out with a friend, join an internet marketing meetup group, etc. etc. Social interaction does wonders.

Anyways, I can completely understand why you might want to quit, hopefully this will help you decide whether to stick to it or if maybe a different online path might be better for you.

This is a hard truth to embrace in this game, but it's absolutely true: you have to make sacrifices if you want to be successful with IM.

There is no other way to reach your goal without putting aside your social life, hobbies, or any other dreams and ambitions. You have to dedicate yourself 100% to it and stop second-guessing the commitment. It WILL pay off if you do this. And it never will if you quit.

Simple as that.

You could try what I like to do when I find a bump in the road and that is not just to get over it, but make getting over it a thrill ride.

When I was a kid riding my minibike through the trails around our house, whenever I encountered a bump, I would back up, get more speed and right at the moment of impact, I'd hit the throttle, lift up on the handle bars, throw my weight backwards and jump that bump getting as much air as I possibly could. What a thrill that was especially when I pegged the landing, lol!

Anyway, find something that you love to do, something thrilling, something fun and do it. Sometimes after doing the same old things, they can become a drag to you, but once you go out and seek some fun, your perspective changes. You can then get back to tackling the rut of bumps with much more fervor. Maybe it is doing something different with your marketing or maybe it is doing something away from it. It doesn't really matter. Just decide what you want to do for some thrilling fun and follow through. Afterwards, you'll feel refreshed and ready to rock!

I agree with most of the others - simply do not give up.

If you are almost in control of your life as opposed to having a nine to five or more like an 8 till 8 these days where you work for peanuts, then simply build in some R and R do something nice on the weekends and think how lucky you are.

There are highs and lows in this business, right now is actually more frustrating than anytime since internet marketing started because all the changes we need to adopt to.

The best think to help me stay positive are these things.

Do you hate working hours for someone else for a guaranteed pay?
Watch people work, restaurants, theaters, grocery stores ect...

Let your money work for you, continue building up your skills and rinse and repeat.

Maybe you should consider changing your strategy. I probably know as good as anybody what its like to overwork yourself. Eventually you reach a level where you can't really work any harder. You've plateaued, and working harder won't increase your output it will just make you more tired. That's when working smarter helps. Find a way to automate the mundane tasks, so you can focus on what really matters.
