they love you, then they hate you, then they love you again...

I just wanted to bring something to attention that will help you get through your day and become more productive, breaking away all barriers.

If you've been online for any amount of time, we all know - in this business you have to grow a back-bone if you want to get ahead.

It's a known FACT, that whenever you are doing something great, no matter how much you help people, no matter how much you bend over backwards to give your best and be genuine.

You will always have some people that will dislike you. Most of the time, it has nothing to do with you as a person and more of a reflection on what people are going through at the moment.

So, never let this get you down. People will love you, then they will hate you, then they will love you again. It's all part of business. Look at is as a test and measurement that you're doing something good. Because if no one is talking, or no one is criticizing, then that means that you're doing something wrong.

KEY Point being, no matter what - keep on PUSHING, keep your head up, remember why you're doing what you're doing and let ANY downfall be the fuel to keep you motivated and working towards your goal.

Just do your BEST and the rest will follow - Some will, some won't, oh well

This is great...and timely! I really appreciate hearing from folks that it pays to keep going, even in the face of adversity.

    Carry on, sir!

So true.. most negativity stems from the other party going through something they haven't quite got a handle on yet. Even in a workplace, you can do amazingly well and still lose your job. It's hard not to focus on the loss, but good to focus on remembering you are great at what you do and keep it movin'.

Yep and I know that first hand! Every time I make changes to a server that hosts a video game. Some people will always get angry and complain. Then next thing you know everyone starts to like the new changes.

Great post Terrance. A great song to lift you up when you're feeling unproductive or lacking confidence in your business is "Successful" by Trey Songz and Drake. You want the version of this song from Trey's album, "Ready". Very inspiring.

    Well said...
I actually had few "readers/followers", who always seemed to be against what I do and complain about me doing a terrible job.But apparently those people followed every article I publish and even subscribed/bought couple products that I promoted.
    Makes you wonder sometimes...

Interesting how that works isn't it? I found that most of the time, people that dislike what you do are just those that are not happy because they wasn't brave enough to do it themselves.

People fear what they don't know, and like to stay in the norm. They see you doing something good and wish it was their idea or them getting the attention!

Funny thing but i had a situation with an "unhappy" customer ... basically, each customer thinks that he is unique so better provide them and make them feel that way no matter what

I don't have that problem. Everybody loves me

All kidding aside, you DO have to grow a thick skin in this business. I didn't for
many years until Paul Myers gave me a good talking to one day.

      I never looked back.

Having said that, if somebody has something constructive to say, listen to it.
It may just improve your business if it's something you've been doing that other
people have mentioned as well as being a problem and you take steps to
      correct it.

You have to learn how to block out the noise and absorb the "real" information.

Great post, Terrance! Just because somebody is unhappy with your business, doesn't mean YOU should be unhappy. Take some due diligence to listen to constructive criticism and react to it by improving your business. But don't ever let it get you down.
