Do you use Classified Ads to sell Clickbank products?

I wonder if it is effective to sell clickbank/paydotcom/shareasale products on Sites like khrido.com, kijiji.com, classifiedads.com

I've seen this on USFreeads, But I don't know if people really buy, I don't know if the offers published on USFreeads really make sales.

What's youtr experience about this?
#ads #classified #clickbank #products #sell

Everytime someone looks at your ad, whether you paid or not, gets you one step closer to a sale. You just have to manage your time. You don't want to spend a ton of time on free advertising if you don't get any sales...you have to factor in how much your time is worth.

    Hope that helps.

I sell ClickBank products using Classifed Ads. I just don't use the sites everyone else uses. It works! The key is to pick the right products, phrases and craft a captivating title, description and message to get people to take your desired action. Then walk away and move on to the next thing on your list. Where I post my ads it never expires.

At the end of the day, take action and track your results. Let your results tell you if it works or not.

Personally I have tried this without much success but that was a few years ago.

But stsnelson has had success so I might think again.

    Any more tips, STS Nelson

I promote mostly others' clickbank products and do have sales once a while. I do it for my own websites instead of other means of advertising. Of course using the right classified ads may get better results. I do know people are getting good success using Google Adwords but I have yet to experience it.

I would guess the best way to succeed with any classified ad, is to make sure that it is DIFFERENT than everyone elses in someway.

A lot of people post to the usually sites.

When I started, I heard about free ad sites and I got really exciting, posting for random clickbank products.

But when I got there, I realized I wasn't the only one. I did this one golf ad, and there were 30 others promoting the same thing, some with better copy, some that paid for the better exposure and bold font, or whatever, so people see these, people do them, and lots of people who've just started go there first, resulting in mass ads, where most people end up making nothing.

So if you are gonna do that, I would recommend trying sites that maybe aren't the GO TO sites of free classifieds, somewhere where your ad could actually stand OUT amongst the crowd.

That's NOT to say it shouldn't be avoided at all. If properly optimized, a certain ad, for particular keywords, can show up on 1st page of google (I saw one on usfreeads once, whoa!) So there are possibilities, if you know what to do to rank it high for particular BUY keywords.

If there's room, educating people about why they need the benefits of a product is good too, I would say, but this is not my area of expertise.

    Simon,

Sorry for not getting back to this post. I am extremely busy right now.

Basically, all I do is put up classified ads (usually 5 per week) for a given topic/product, make sure I put my keyphrase in the right places and walk away. The only difference between what I do and others is that my ads do not expire, so I do not have to worry about putting up new ones.

You could use a blog to achieve the same thing just takes a little more work upfront.

Let's just say my wife often asks, "Why is ClickBank sending you checks every two weeks?" When I have time I will change it to direct deposit.

Just ask any questions and I will do my best to provide specific answers.

    Alex,

Apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I only use one site for almost 2-years and I don't bother to put up classified ads anywhere else.

I rarely do this but here are a few key phrases that myself and others are targeting that generates targeted traffic, lead capture sign ups and sales. I'll let you determine which site it is.

    1. video template skins
    2. traverus lead capture page
    3. indian wedding clothes
    4. brooklyn fashion photographer
    5. best sunscreen for infants

Just know it's staring you in the face as you read my posts.

You have to try all strategies to make sales. It's difficult to say which strategies clicks and which does not. A multi pronged approach always pays.

Mogili is right but more important is you have to track which strategy gets you the best results and focus your efforts on it. That is exactly what I am doing. Good tip.

I was going to do something similar...using USFreeads to promote CB products. But I really got mixed results from what I read. Some people said it was still a viable source of traffic while others pretty much said it was not worth their time. I guess you just have to hit on the right combination.

    Drizlek,

    Here is how I operate...

...I do not care what others say. I only care about what my results tell me. The only way you will know something works is if you do it consistently and measure your results.

eric8476, you are right about landing pages, using articles or ppc. Those are all viable options.

Remember everyone, the person asked about "Classified ads" and promoting affiliate products. We all know there are other ways that work.

    I will say this again....

...pick something, apply it and measure its effectiveness. Otherwise, it's just talk!

    Alex and Simon,

I posted a few phrases above showing that you can get good rankings and consistent traffic from the search engines using classifieds. Just do a search for the phrases and see for yourself.

Take notice (if you figure out which site it is) the dates those items were put up.

    Hope I was helpful.

Is that a membership site for Internet Marketeers?

If so, It would be a kind of diffcult to sell Clickbank products as tyou can go directly to Clickbank an buy from your own aff. Link, right?

...At least this is what Yanik Silver suggests....

    Alex,

It's a site for business owners who desire to market effectively online using the tools that are available on the site. We do have Internet Marketers, Network Marketing, Home-based, small and medium size businesses using it.

It is a tool that when used correctly can help you get targeted traffic to your content. The classified ads never expire. That's one of the keys because we all know when you use other Classified Ad platforms you have to keep updating/renewing your ads, which is a complete waste of time.

Yes! You can promote ClickBank products on the site as well as other products you get from Linkshare, Paydotcom, CJ and any other place. There are many people doing it right now.

    Hope I was helpful.

    Drizlek, eric8476 and Alex,

Let me ask you a question, "How much higher could someone's conversion rate be if they did not have distractions around their content?"

Well, the only way to know is to take away the distractions, so you can have the visitors undivided attention.

Now look at hugpages, ezinearticles, squidoo and every other site people use to promote affiliate products...tell me what you see around the content?

Your competitors! Honestly, would you give a business card to someone with your competitors information on the back? Of course not!

Yet, thousands of people willingly allow their competitors to steal traffic from them on many of these sites because of their "authority" status.

Hey, I'm not bashing them just pointing out one of the flaws that affect conversion rates. Like I said earlier, "You have to run your own tests and allow your results to dictate what you focus on." I did!

Shawn, I must ask how would anyone make any money off that site getting 3k uniques a month? I see that the site is growing fast but that is not nearly enough traffic. There's also a small fee you did not mention.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[681642].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author stsnelson
    Tram,

Yes, there is a small fee ($3.65 a year or 1 penny a day). Considering what most people pay for the junk they purchase on line it's nothing. One more thing, it was never my intention to promote the site I was just responding to the question, does selling products via classified ads work. The answer is, "yes, it works for me."

You are correct, it's only 3K (closer to 4K) traffic per month and growing without actually promoting it. There's a reason we made the stats available to everyone...we have nothing to hide.

Tram, I will say this. There is a site my partner and I oversee where one key phrase gets no more than 50 searches a month. Of that 50 only about 25 (on average) visit the site. Of that 25 on average about 10 end up ordering. Guess what the average order is...$500!

Heck, just two weeks ago we had 10 visits again with 2 orders. One was for 300 dozen and the other was for 500 dozen.

My point is anyone can get a ton of traffic but very few people know how to get targeted buying traffic. That's what we help people to do. Keep in mind many people on the site are newbies, so we hold their hand every step of the way.

I will let those who use the site speak for themselves regarding if it's effective at the 3K (closer to 4K) traffic level. I know the answer.

One more thing, let me know what products you are promoting as I'm curious.

    Hope I was helpful.

Cashforlifetv, it depends on the platform you are using and whether your ads expire. If that's the case then it will be a lot of work. But as Warriors we need to work smart and leverage our time and resources.

sandraartox, classifieds are totally different than articles. As you stated you have to target specific phrases but remember people read classifieds, in general, because they want to buy or find something. That in itself makes it a little easier because you do not have to "sell" just present the benefits of what you're offering.

Too often people over sell a product to a buyer, which usually cause them to lose sales. If I am a buyer I'm ready to buy just give me the info I need to make my decision.

I think classified ad is same concept as article... you need to tap into specific keyword and rank for search traffic, or it won't work well.
