Other than reliability and support

what features do you like to have and what ones would you want to have?

They must provide you 99.9% uptime for your website. Also they must answer your question quick.

Every day I check the obituaries. If I don't see my name there, then I know it's going to be a good day!

I never made an interface for it...but can set it up for you...been working on getting some other things done....

And so we don't totally hijack this thread...

Basically I look for 24/7 phone availability from a web host...and a descent track record... Plenty of reviews out there for hosts...But it is hard to rely on them...I been with 1and1 for years no problems...some people hate em...I like em...but then again I always install anything I need manually...so the fact that they don't use cpanel has no bearing on my choice. Many people like having a cpanel host so they can point and click install....

In addition to uptime, if you are going to be delivering alot of multimedia, you want to consider bandwidth, and your host's ability to deliver that multimedia (video, flash) through periods of high demand without a hiccup.

I see alot of big marketers going with a hosting company, and then using Amazon's S3 service to host their multimedia.
