Advice on a Domain for my Business/Squeeze Page

I have been messing online for a few years. More of a hobby then anything else. But I do make enough money to keep my domains paid for and my WSO habit paid for. But no where near enough to get rid of my Day Job.

So after fighting it for years it is time to build a list. I understand the concept of building a list. Just need to know the best way to come off the most professional, or do I use both to build to different types of buyers.

So do I use: www(.)myname(.)com (I see some of the big name gurus do this)

Or do I use a name like www(.)MakeMoneyOvernight(.)com.

    Honesty that is my biggest problem with the Make Money Overnight domain.....is is a little misleading. But sometimes that is where the money is. Typical WSO buyer chasing the latest Shiny Object.

    Lets face it most people take no action.

    In my opinion, I think it's just a matter of style. If you want to build a brand, I think you should maybe use your name in the domain. But I think most of the gurus do both.

    If you really want to invest and have your name tied into this niche, then by all means, get a domain name in your name. Actually, you should just do that anyways.

    But in light of the Googles' recent EMD algo update, why not come up with a brand name? This is what led me to switch the domain on my main dating blog...I wanted a brand more than an EMD (it isn't an EMD per se, but pretty close).

    I have sites on EMD's that have all gone up in the serps since the recent updates. Quality content and an EMD will always score high.

    So far it looks like the best way to go is to use both names to go after two different types of buyers.

    I'd keep your name for your blog because that's where you build relationships. As for the squeeze page. In my opinion it should match the content of what's on offer. People will look at the domain name for the sqeeeze page and will not have a clue what the offer is if it's just your name. Sometimes you will be leaving just the link to the page so the Domain name should be congruent with the offer.

    I do think the "makemoneyovernight" is too hypee and will attract the wrong type of visitor to your page. Freebie seeking opportunists flock to domains like that
