Nice Milestone...Just hit 1k Subscribers

5 months ago i started IM..about 3 months ago I started building a list!

After a ton of hard work i finally hit a nice milestone of 1,000 subscribers to my email list.

I've heard that's really the hardest is that first 1k. Then it starts to get easier as you can send more and more clicks.

Just wanted to share some success with everyone. Post yours in the comments below if you feel the need to share too

Well done on getting to 1k, but why on earth would you want to trash that hard work by sending out a solo advert to the list?

When you promote a WSO you should generate sales, and by promoting a quality product at a discount price you will have gained respect and trust for future mailings.

Sending all the hard earned leads to someone else's squeezepage for a few dollars today will send your list building backwards. Never pimp out you list as a solo seller unless you're good at "churn & burn" and know the numbers you need to sustain the model.

Work on the quality not the quantity for long term success

  • If you don't mind me asking:

What niche is it and what are your top traffic generation methods?

btw...congrats on achieving a major milestone.

It's in the IM make money online niche. I built it from SOLO ads and swapping small amount of clicks from people. Also by participating/hosting Mini Giveaway Events.

Same here, would like to learn more about how you build your list.
I myself build a list via my blog, however the opt in rate is very low...
So far, I earned nothing from the list but have made several sales through social marketing.

Would you mind to share some info on this, on how you build your list? Is it via paid traffic? =)

Yeah it was probably 30% Off of paid traffic (SOLO ads) and the rest was free promotional ways. (My blog, click swapping, and Mini giveaway events).

My blogs optin rate is incredibly slow too, mainly because the traffic is close to none right now.

    Well done!

I wouldn't advise you to start renting your list yet. I have a friend who does sell solo ads and that is because for every 1 person that unsubscribes, his lead generation is bringing in 5 new subscribers.

I remember the first time I hit 1000 subscribers, it was quite a feeling!

Learn from my mistake, provide value and nurture the 1000. For every sales message you send them, send them 5 emails full of quality content.

The value and responsiveness of the list will always be based on how you maintain your relationship with them going forward.

    Good luck

The SIZE of your list is not the most important thing to focus on.

The real thing that deserves your attention is how RESPONSIVE
    your subscribers are...

    Do they buy?

A much better figure to focus on is your earnings-per-subscriber
    (EPS).

I know plenty of people with MASSIVE lists that have piss-poor
    response rates.

Remember, just like in the bedroom, it's not the size of your wand
but how you use it that counts!

    Dedicated to mutual success,

This is great feeling. Congratulation! Now be careful about selling solo ads. Do not promote sales letter to your lists but only squeeze pages with free offers to your lists for the time being. Only you try to sell your list for your commissions. This is a tip. I suffered by promoting sales letter of other's. Good luck.

Truthfully, When it was at like 450. I spammed my list with affiliate offers. Ended up making $200, But the list was down to like 200 by then.

I destroyed it basically. Gave no value. I'm now looking to meet in the middle of that, send a ton of value, and then every now and then some WSO's or other affiliate offers.

But after it was down that low, I built it back up the right way (now at 1,050).

A lot of successful marketers here at WF say that you should at least make a dollar per month from every subscriber on your list, has this happened to your 1050 subs? Anyone that has a huge list please comment.
    Congrats on your 1K milestone.

I don't see how that equation matches up, I'm definitely not making $1,000/mo off of my list. Someone please comment and explain what I'm doing wrong.
