Where to find affiliate marketers?

So say I set up an affiliate system on my site, and have some customers already. Where is a good place to find people who are looking to affiliate marketing and would promote my site?

Just for thought. Because I do have an affiliate system, but no affiliates.

uhh. You are in the right place for affiliate marketers. I'm not sure what to tell you. Go to the wso section. Get a list of some of the product owners and contact them. Tell them what you got, let them check it out and ask them if they would be interested. Then take it from there. Also here is the JV section of the forum...Warrior Joint Ventures
    Good luck

When I say i have an affiliate system let me clarify, I have a product. Namely web hosting, and I am looking for affiliate marketers to resell that hosting for me for a 10% commission. I am not running an affiliate system for partners to sell their products.

I am selling web hosting, VPS Hosting and Dedicated servers. Affiliates get 10% of the cost. There is no way I could give 100% of the cost because I'd be loosing money. The bills must be paid after all. I am also looking at a new model where I would give the affiliates 20% and the ability to create their own coupons out of that 20% if they so desired.

No I have not tried submitting it to clickbank.

      Will do.

Getting affiliates for any product can be a slog maybe as well as listing your product on clickbank it might be worth looking at a few sales pages, many of the most popular packages have a free website offer and hosting deal on the backend.
Why not approach the product creator and ask what deal they get and offer a better one. It might take a bit of time but if you can get one or two on board word quickly spreads and these guys make a lot of sales.

Apply as vendor at Clickbank.com and put it there. Make some interesting % commision. If you did that, then put it on some webmaster forums like WF & BHW etc.

  • Hi Bytedisorder,

Are those 10% recurring commissions? I'm asking because you said you're selling Web hosting services, so I assume these are monthly or annual Web hosting subscription plans. Now, here are creative ways to get affiliates who'll help promote your site and products:

    1. Newbies who have English content research and writing skills (Web hosting knowledge and experience would be a big plus). They want to learn how to make money online and they also want to actually make money online, of course. If you help them learn how to make money online and also help them actually make money online, you'll be able to help yourself. How?

=>> Ask them to sign up as your affiliates. Tell them that you'll pay them $XX per content write-up about Web hosting-related topics, which you'll publish on your site, network of sites, publication networks, content syndication and ezine channels with their affiliate links. This way, they'll earn 10% commissions per sale generated by the content materials they write for you at $XX per piece. Then:

=>> Tell them you'll teach them ways so they can promote their content materials posted on your site, network of sites, publication networks, content syndication and ezine channels, as well as write their own content which they can use to promote the content materials they wrote for you. This way, they'll learn how to make money online and increase their affiliate commission earnings, while you get wider promotions for your sites, content materials, products and services (even high quality backlinks in relevant authority sites where your target customers hang out, though that's if you teach them the right strategies to promote your products, site, content materials and services), not to mention better chances to get more traffic, subscribers, sales and profits. What exactly do you get from this concept?

    • For $XX, you get content and an affiliate who will promote your sites, onsite and offsite content, products and services for you, by promoting the content they wrote for you using their own content in various online places where your target market hangs out...

    2. Writers (Web hosting knowledge and experience is a big plus) - Hire them. Negotiate mutually beneficial deals with them by implementing the same things I mentioned above. This way, they won't have to spend more time waiting for more projects from you and their other clients, nor spend more time promoting their writing services to get new clients, nor spend more time writing for others (aside from you and their existing clients) but rather for themselves (writing their own content to promote the content materials they wrote for you) to earn income, since by promoting the content materials they write for you in their own social networks, sites, blogs and other online places where your target market hangs out, they'll earn affiliate commissions per sale generated by the content materials they wrote for you, which'd be posted on your sites, network of sites, publication networks, content syndication and ezine channels. And, they can also write their own content to do the same things you do, all to promote your own sites, onsite and offsite content, products and services, for them to also earn more affiliate commissions...

There are lots more I can think of, though this is already a rather lengthy post, but the unique concept above will nicely work for you (it's been working for me and our clients since 2005). Here's something I posted as a thread about this (maybe I wrote something that I didn't mention here):

  • Just a thought...

but you can always contact SEOs, Link builders, and other offline service providers to see if they will recommend your hosting services to their clients for a %of the backend...

10% one-time commission seems ok , but 10% commissions for the life of the lead sounds much more appealing.. (from an affiliate's perspective) .. just my 2 cents

Checkout some of the popular affiliate networks - e.g. CB, CJ, Ejunkie, Jvzoo, shareasale etc... and list your affiliate program.

Forums is a good way to find affiliates, too.
